Oh boy two back to back EG techies games where techies wins the damn game almost single handedly. Beautiful sight.

VP.Phobos just whiffed on a Ravage that cost them their top barracks pair.

Lol, MVP gets ahead, tries to gank 6+ Wraith King without vision. Hilarity ensues about 12:30 or so in-game.

Gotta see VP.G as mid Silencer vs. Empire (HINT: He gets a triple kill by minute 1)

Techies being legitimately OP is hilarious and infuriating at the same time.
A 6-1 Win-Loss record for Techies during the group stages. Even without a Tusk pick, Techies has still had a significant impact on the pace of the game. The opposing team ends up playing tentatively, falling behind in map control and net worth. It's throwing a wrench into the familiar pacing and picks of the current meta.

I can genuinely see Techies sending an unprepared team or two packing in the coming days, thereby adding even more to his infamy.

Techies is such a drain on the enemy team resources with the constant warding and gems required, not to mention he gets almost guaranteed kills due to suicide and mining surprising areas.

Once he gets his aghs he can put the mine sign and stop many pushes in one lane. And hes farming really good too.

That having said they should have banned it after game one. They fully deserved their loss - Chinese teams cant fight techies at all it seems.

China always falls hard to rat in group stages. Techies is especially punishing he can take map control (which he absolutely needs), farm a shit load while wasting support gold from getting GC, and is nearly immune to meaningful ganks.

- CoL is playing extremely well. I could them thrashing EG. You'll never know which PPD you'll get and that's a liability.
- Secret looks mortal
- MVP Phoenix will beat Newbee and it won't be close. Newbee looks like the weakest team in the tournament outside of Hot6ix and maybe Na'vi.
- The tournament format is much, much better than TI4. Lower bracket looks exciting as fuck from the get-go.

Who the fuck is this guy speaking so quickly?

EDIT: Twitch chat is calling him RAP GOD
That will be ODPixel, the rising star of play by play commentary, and the chat is referring to this phenomenal clip:

The most impressive part starts about 0:30.

Trying to fight against G
But G pops the cheese
Now he's gonna hit against the pig
Who's got back to base
I think this is megacreeps
Lysander, I think this is gg
Well played the game is over
NiP they lose

I want a clip of him doing what he did for that group stage game, because it was about 100x Tobi's legendary cast in that EG vs. someone (Fear was playing FV and the other team had an AM and they fought across the lower left quadrant of the map for about 2 minutes straight).

All the games are on this channel. If you watched it live it should be easy to find.

By the way, I really dislike Glimmer Cape. Cast invis on anyone to escape is such a spoil sport. It's a cockblocking item. Compare this to a force staff which can also make someone's escape but is so much of a fun item.

It's just too damn cheap for such a great item. It should be at least the same cost as a shadow blade. It doesn't feel right to have an invis item be core first item for any hero, we have enough fucking invis heroes already.

Here's some classic ASSFAGGOTS rage

That's glorious.
And I don't know if it is nostalgia speaking, but I felt that people were way angrier during the dota all stars days, the trashtalk of DOTA 2 just isn't on the same level

Good one but not THE one:
The following match has got to be my favorite cast of his though. Cloud9 brought the entertainment as always. I was watching it unfold live, and my mind couldn't process what I was witnessing.

Thinking Glimmer Cape is a great item because of the invis is a mistake, it's great because of the 55% magic resistance. It's downright broken, actually.

It's a support item, cores can't spare the item slot; the passive magic resistance is applied to whoever gets the buff, and you can cast it on anyone, plus the range is quite huge.

Communication in these games is overrated at the pleb level, for a better experience you should just mute everyone on both teams and pretend they're bots. You really don't need to communicate anything outside the occasional ping.
