TI winner curse status:
Na'vi : only two of it's original roster remains, mediocre performance for the last two years. Surviving mostly because of dendi
IG: barely tier 1, hasn't won anything in years. Punching bag for better chinese teams in lans.
Alliance: On the verge of disbanding
Newbee: hahahahahahahahahahaha oh wow

There is no curse. All these teams stopped winning when the meta changed and no longer favored their playstyle/heroes. Alliance was done when pushing was nerfed, Newbee was done when deathball was nerfed, Navi's heropool was turned to shit etc

I tried WW in the test client since I stopped DotA 1 before she was introduced. She's a nice support but situational I would say. The E and ult need very good communication with your teammates.
CM is by far my most played hero in DotA1/2 and that CM arcana is blowing my mind. Except the pup. I'm not sure about the pup...
Very minor nerfs to popular heroes except Jugg who got hit very hard :mad: .

Best changes by far are
- Pausing is no longer allowed in Unranked All Pick if your team is connected and hasn't picked their heroes.
- Fixed the Hill Troll Priest in the small camp sometimes not moving when the rest of the camp was pulled by taking damage.

That doggie almost makes the idea of playing CM seem bareable. Almost.

About time they changed the drop system. Seems like Valve have been trying really hard to get their hats economy under control. The 1 drop per hundreds of games method was causing too much butthurt, so now they add an item-sink in the form of "recycling" them at a 30 to 1 ratio.

As for balance changes, looks like sensible nerfs to Jug, Lion, and Venge. I think Axe got gimped though. Easier Dire ancient stacking is nice too, that shit was annoying how you always had to stack them the same direction.

Jugg was so broken, any hero where you can go 1/1/1/1 and stats at lvl 7 is dumb.

The visuals and sounds of the freezing field with the CM arcana are beyond awesome... when you are playing the CM. It is completely polluting the screen for other players, you don't see shit.
Also the pup sometimes wanders alone around CM and can block the neutral camps :mad: .

Winter Wyvern is fun but I think it's a defensive trilane support which is a situational pick if you're expecting heavy physical damage on the enemy team. She is fairly useless vs high magic damage, her attack range means she can't trade hits efficiently in the lane, she has low armour, her spells are expensive and cooldowns are fairly long. Her nuke is quite strong though and only on a 7s cd, but it requires some finesse and even some luck, I don't know if the targeting prioritizes heroes over creeps for the bounce.

An interesting hero that I think should give flying vision even during daytime when her Q is up. It only lasts a few seconds anyway, not nearly firefly level.

From what I could tell it creates shards for every enemy unit in a certain radius around the target when the main projectile hits. It even hits invis units. It's good against summon-heavy lineups.
Yesterday I played a game where a friend randomed Meepo and there was a WW in the other team. She completely wrecked him with her ult. That's some serious hard counter.

That's a pretty big oversight.

A lot of things supposedly hard counter Meepo - ES, Jakiro, etc. It's about off-map farming and ganking efficiently so you can catapult ahead and be 10 levels above supports, I don't think WW is any different in that situation. Maybe against an underfarmed and underleveled Meepo...

These seasonal events are all ass, by the way. I just want to play a normal game and servers are shitting themselves because there's a billion people trying to queue for the new shitty pay to win gamemode at the same time.

Just tried it. It's fucking horrible because it's pretty much a boring unranked game, with a big creep spawning for each team once in a while.

No one even bothers to use the upgrades/boosts or to protect the beast while it's pushing

They really don't need to add these new game modes that people will just grind for. I wish they had just spent the time making the main game not so goddamn glitchy and gave out rewards for winning normal matchmaking games instead. A CNY themed map would be pretty alright too.
