DC in the finals is so crazy...

I love Wings though, they remind me of 2014 DK. Hope they win.

Gg. The best team won. Fantastic finals with so many incredible saves and jukes. The kind of plays that you only see once every few games happened every five minutes at the finals. while DC winning would have been the spiciest meme ever, wings were just the better team, with superior execution and less mistakes. when I saw Misery & Co walk around after the finals that night, everyone on DC looked disappointed, but it was different from the devastated emotion that teams like 2014 DK or OG felt, but something like sadness and pride? maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but DC proved in a week that they are more than the trash tier EU rejects pretty much everyone thought they were.

As for the placements, I'm still disappointed in OG placing so low, but it is countered by the intense schadenfreude of Secret being last, while the players that they kicked made it to the finals. Fnatic making it to top 4 was super cool, and I like how evenly spread out every region was. Jimmy and Mushi helped prove that SEA Dota is world class.

A lot of people who are butthurt like to say that Ti winners are just teams that happen to be hot at the time (pretty much every Empire fan), but even if that was true, this year went to the best team, and the teams that placed high truly deserve it.

after the finals, I got to shake hands with my favorite player, Black^ and tell him how VG with Black and tell him that his performance in DAC with VG was my favorite incarnation of VG.

This year is without doubt the best TI so far and I'm really looking forward to the next season.

Fantastic run by DC, but I can't be salty about Wings winning TI. What creative drafts and amazing teamplay from them.

But damn, I can't help but wonder how OG would have fared against Wings, if they hadn't choked so early.

Great TI this year! (but the TI withdrawal will be horrible)

Great final. Wings and DC deserve their place there. Wings outclassed most team in this TI that it is not even funny though.

Heck it would seemed that Wings threw the first game intentionally by that Pudge pick but still won the series anyway.

What makes me enjoy this TI the most though, is Jimmy and Misery. Both are part of underdog teams nobody consider will go that far. Both proved their mettle as captain, Misery more so, and this TI proved to be their comeback in Dota scene after rather unpleasant last year, eapecially so for Jimmy who considered retiring if he doesn't qualify for this TI.

Compared to other TIs, I don't think it was mediocre. I'd love to have seen a swede gone further, but at least DC has a swedish coach (!).

A few too many shadow demon/timbersaw games though. Not the most exciting heroes.

Also too much mirana and void pick.
While good arrow is always a good moment, the leap/blink in starfall twice thing is really boring to watch after a while.
On point Chronosphere is nice to see but people picked void like in nearly every series it went boring really fast.

And yeah, the cringe is too much. I would prefer more time for purge explaining things rather than casi/guy things. Casi is okay when interviewing player though.

please elaborate on what "good teams" wings haven't beaten.

And sinker.

I'm butthurt that Secret keeps making the worst decisions possible and I wonder if it's somehow out of the player's control at some point. It still doesn't make sense that they kicked w33 and Misery right after winning that tournament, even if it was for Rtz and Universe (maybe for the latter, who should theoretically be one of the strongest offlaners). But there's something to say about team comp and synergy, which they finally had, that I'm still pissed they threw down the drain.

But I like that Wings won. At the end there Misery choked with the drafts and just couldn't get away from the Mirana when Wings was running all kinds of crazy shit. Pudge and Nyx in TI finals? Let me have their babies. I respect the Jakiro pick but come on, w33 has so much dominance with Invoker or even Meepo, and this is the time to go all out with your pocket strats.

Also, fuck Void. Always. Before and after the rework. Stupid fucking ult, more broken now than ever before due to the Eul's range nerf.

Jakiro was a pocket strat and it theoretically could have worked. Too bad w33 (or DC as a team) decided to make him a support with greaves+force instead of building him like the old days with euls/veil/aghs. By the time WD had a veil to support jakiros damage output it was already too late, that lineup was on a clock and with these defensive item pickups they missed that timing.

After all is said and done DC did not deserve to win TI.
Moo repeatedly showed that while a decent player, even on timbersaw he just doesn't have what it takes to be a TI winner. Timbersaw was his only good hero really and during games 3 and 4 he more often than not just tried to farm somewhere and fed in the process due to lacking map awareness, shit positioning and missing timberchains left and right.
W33 showed that being able to blink>eblade>double starfall into the enemy team just isn't good enough when you play a core mirana against one of the best teams in the world, he barely tried to hit arrows and even missed a couple on locked down targets. In his defense, innocence played an incredible oracle in game 2/3 and prevented so many kills with fates edict that you could literally see w33 tilting and committing harder and harder each teamfight because he wanted to get kills but just died himself instead.
Misery had a horrible sandking game but was fine in the other games in my opionion.
Only Resolut1ion and especially Saksa were playing incredibly well throughout not only the tournament but also the final matches. If I had to choose an MVP for the whole tournament it would be Saksa or iceice.

GG Wings, easiest 2.5k compendium points prediction of my life.

On paper I think that transfer makes a lot of sense. Puppey wasn't getting along with w33, and Universe was consistently amazing on EG for a very long time. Certainly much better than misery. And the last time Secret formed an all-star team it almost worked, they won everything for half a year before crashing at TI. Who knows why it didn't work with uni...

The most successful teams past 6 months maybe?OG,Liquid,Newbee.
Looking at Wings' history over the last 6 months, all 3 of those teams have a poor head to head record against Wings.

Wings defeated Liquid and dismantled OG twice in the Summit 5 right before TI6. They defeated Newbee in three straight BO3s, and narrowly lost a BO5 at Nanyang 2-3 while clowning around with a Necrophos and Troll Warlord in the grand finals. And before Manila, they stomped Liquid 3-0 in the grand finals at ESL.

Even before going into TI6, Wings was one of the best teams around. The big issue was their inconsistency and tendency to defeat Tier 1 teams while losing randomly to less fancied teams. Their TI6 group stage was not the most convincing, but they were easily the best team once the Main Event rolled along. Often it felt like they were just toying with their opponents.

Well duh ,Wings were top contender for a lot of people ,I never questioned they are one of the best.Just the opponents they played(except MVP) in playoffs were tier below them right now.Winning TI makes them defiantly the top team this year with OG.It's sad that we couldn't see more than 2 games between them this TI.

I think especially DC has shown they are not a tier below them since wings was the only team in ti they couldnt beat (wings kicked them into the lb), except if you think wings are in a tier of their own. Not being one of the presumed "top tier" teams makes the second place after lower bracket even better.

I had three teams I would have liked to have seen in the grand finale, tnc, eg, and dc. two of them with the underdog bonus and eg simply because as stated before the first team to win two ti and do it in a row.

Although I said earlier that I'm pleased with secret getting last place, I do feel a bit bad for PLD and EE. I hope they find a better team without Puppey. Although I think half of the things he does are retarded, I respect EE because he doesn't have an ego like some other players. I think it's his attitude more than his skill that make him so attractive for other pros to team up with. in 2014, PPD originally invited EE to replace fear. In 2015 EE got invitations from multiple teams after the breakup of cloud 9. His autism is his greatest weakness and strength.

PLD is also a brilliant player that has improved significantly over the years. I really wish that they'd both form a cloud 9 v2 without drama magnets like Puppey and rtz holding them back. EE just needs a mid player that can do work with minimal farm, like w33 did in shanghai so his greedy playstyle can work.

EE is a completely unlikable sperglord who can't utter a single word in understandable English, I don't see why people even remotely like the guy.
