When you post on RPG Codex, what feelings arise after each post?
When you post on RPG Codex, what feelings arise after each post?
^A post by a guy who once called a developer a cuck because he adopts orphans.Codex is just another forum. I could leave any day and not care. I only get my rpg news here, but the forum itself is a pretty boring place. I only read 10% of the posts when I scroll through threads. It's a boring community that thinks itself special and edgy and smarter than it is. It thinks it's 4chan in the beginning of 4chan. It thinks itself misanthropic, anti-social, not-like-everyone-else, etc, and the community self-congratulates itself on that and writes self-referential "witty" "jokes" about it all the time. But it's actually very mild in all those aspects. Like what anti-social would look if you asked an 8 year old to describe what anti-social is.
It's a stupid gamer in-joke.This thread doesn't make any sense, nor the question(s) it asks.
The initial question is whether Codex gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. This can be interpreted in a number of ways, but I think most would agree that it's a passive question, asking whether "being a member here" or just reading its contents on a day-to-day basis gives you those feelings. Odd question, that. Why would one feel proud or accomplished just to read the content here?
