Never know when I might come up against heavy armor.
You missed the point of the post. Regardless, Deus Ex games can be played without stealth, but that's only true if you're idea of playing is quick saving after every kill and being randomly killed by a single headshot.
Ah, Cyber! Go ahead and enlighten me buddy. You missed the point of the post. Regardless, Deus Ex games can be played without stealth, but that's only true if you're idea of playing is quick saving after every kill and being randomly killed by a single headshot.
Are you trying to tell me it's some super-hardcore game where my equipment choice has to be carefully planned? I could finish the game with pretty much any weapon I wanted, I pick the one that's the most fun to shoot people with, that's all there is to it.
WTF are you talking about? HR on the hardest difficulty is a shit show. Maybe unarmored enemies die quickly but who gives a shit? After a certain point every asshole in the game is armored from head to toe. Then, you have a choice 15-20 rifle rounds or one headshot? Hell, the big minigun guys die from 2 headshots. A big part that makes the shooting fun is the result. Take for instance, the BFG. One shot decimates almost everything on screen, awesome. How awesome would it be if it barely did any fucking damage? You can finish the game without weapons, that doesn't make it fun it just makes it easy. This never happens in any Deus Ex game ever. So you reply by saying that something is bullshit only to say it's true in a subsequent post. Duded, how fucking stupid are you? At this point it's not even an insult, it's a genuine question.I agree the instakill headshot was bullshit though, yet that only ever happened to two weapons: the rifle and the pistol, and only on realistic difficulty.

I have never noticed any weapons doing "barely any damage", against any enemies, maybe except the giant robots.
I realize how much, zero. Judging by your moddb success others feel the same wayFor fuck sake, do you faggots even comprehend the incline I bring to this franchise that has lost it's way?
You quoted a single point and went on to say that the point is true. On realistic when you're in close range you get dropped on regular basis from random headshots. So I'm not allowed to disagree with an overall argument you're making if I also agree with one of your points made, with the exception that you exaggerated said point (insta-kill headshots rarely happen)?
Why would I play it on a higher difficulty level if it doesn't make the game any more "difficult", and only gives the enemies more health? Doesn't make any sense. Might as well play on normal and kill everyone with 3-5 rounds.
I played on normal and hard btw. Never had any problems with dispatching enemies in any quantities. I never had to think particularly hard about my equipment choices, ammo is plentiful, pretty much every weapon is viable with or without mods. You don't need to specialize, you just keep on walking through the level and popping moles at your discretion. I have never noticed any weapons doing "barely any damage", against any enemies, maybe except the giant robots.

You missed the point of the post. Regardless, Deus Ex games can be played without stealth, but that's only true if you're idea of playing is quick saving after every kill and being randomly killed by a single headshot. You are aware that all Deus Ex games could be played without stealth whatsoever? While I personally found the trailer overdone to no end this is kind of meaningless criticism.
Personally, I don't need an "exciting" 4 minute Michael Bay montage to be interested. A "stealth trailer" would be more about tension and the air duct tidbit says more about the stealth in HR than how "exciting" stealth is. In reality, you are missing the point again. I want a trailer that's representative of the actual experience, not some flashy shit that's supposed to make me interested. Also what would have been so exciting to see in a pure stealth trailer? Jensen waiting in an air duct for 3 minutes?
Knocking guys out from across the room, that's hardcore stealth.Furthermore, they did show some stealth moments when he sneaks up on someone for example and stuns him with that weird taser from his fist, or going invisible after his smoke.
So fucking what? Does the fact that the trailer for the first game was full of shit makes this full of shit trailer any better? Also, the trailer of HR had just as little stealth elements in it and was just as violent showing Jensen killing multiple people with his various augmentations.
Of course there's always the chance that it's an accurate trailer, if it is then......
Some of you guys have a real eye for detail. All I remember from the trailer is this:
Who the fuck got worked up? I was just responding to what yo wrote.I'll never get how you people get so worked up over fucking trailers. Trailers almost never represent a game accurately.
Missing Link is the only piece of DLC that I've ever seen that wasn't a cash grab made by interns.I liked HR so I am lloking forward to this,if the improve their product like they did with the Missing Link it will be good
I never played Missing link and I missed my opportunity to as I refuse to buy the directors cut for obvious reasons. Though when missing link came out, I was under the impression that it dumbed the game down, destroyed the stealth game and turned it into a FPS confrontational shooter of running down corridors killing things. True? Not True, exaggerated? What?
It is included in this, which will go on sale for $10 soon enough: http://store.steampowered.com/app/238010/

Did they patch the directors cut up to the same level that the original game was though? I read that the directors cut was a botch version rushed out for a cash grab due to the fact that they used a much older build of the game that has extensive bugs and issues.
Well, that figures. I guess I can always look for a pirated DLC version of missing link. Pretty fucking stupid that I have to resort to that because they are unwilling to sell the DLC individually.
Jensen does have a similar thing going on - he seems sort of insecure around all the genius scientists he wanders among for much of the game, the ex-cop with his Criminology degree from "Phoenix University".

I wonder if this still works: http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/il/en/pc/games/action/deus-ex-human-revolution-the-missing-link/
