Great question. I lost some sleep to it. Until it happens, I can't say for sure. Probably I would choose on the basis of the quality of the posting in the common diplo thread.

Actually I had one other option, give up half my territory for no reason to Pythium. Odd bit of diplomacy that.

I think we can all blame Grim in the end. He agreed to a 10 turn NAP with me, letting me create a buffer zone. In total that created about 25 turns worth of time for Ashdod (turn 30 - 40 NAP then another 15 turns before one of Pythium's actual armies got to Ashdod).

Anyway it's not so bad guys, I hear the giants stopped eating people ages ago, they are a peaceful people now, they only want everyone to give them gold and gems.

Nu. The time when you befriended Ashdod was even before you invaded Sceleria. The Pythium conflict was after Sceleria was gone. And I got that territory anyway, so what was the point of holding to it?
