Was this before or after he had them all confiscated though? and would these fists go to scrooge or menck?
Mencks were never given to Scrooge. Get your brofist confiscation history straight.

This was literally all agreed upon before the match even started, loopholes were shut tight. My numbers are accurate. Relax, you don't need to audit this.

Mencks reward as per the agreed terms of match and betting is between 76000 and 79996 fists.
A proper lawyer would know the exact amount, and have kept the records to prove it.

You sir, are therefore a charlatan and a fraud. And I question your legal credentials.

I bet you can't even tell me exactly how many fists were transferred to Scrooge for safe-keeping. These are brofists my learned friend! You can't just give a rough estimate. All brofists must be accurately accounted for and expended in accordance with the law.

It would seem the esteemed LundB esq. wants me to do his work for him! A proper lawyer would have been well aware that a full and proper account of brofists was made in the original Crispy betting thread:

DarkUnderlord what are the limits exactly on what can be bet?

Say I wanted to bet moderator positions, if Crispy wins he can have Politics to give to whomever he chooses, if Menck wins I get Sports to give to whomever I choose? Or something like that.

Would this hypothetical bet be allowed?
No. Just tags and brofists.
Then because Crispy is a cruel man who gets angry about entirely hypothetical questions and says terrible mean things like:
You and I are no longer friends.
I too bet all my brofists on Menck winning.
+7826

Your brofists were then provided to Scrooge for safe-keeping as per the ponzi scheme exposed thread:

Wow what a totally unforseen turn of events
You seem to be quite complicit in these actions yourself, LundB. As a member of staff, I have no choice but to hold you to a higher standard. However, that also means I can't just take your brofists away. As such, I have transferred your brofists to Scrooge for safe-keeping until you learn the errors of your ways in brofist harvesting schemes.
This would mean a total of 15,652 brofists were transferred to Scrooge for safe-keeping. Your own bet was then as follows:

I bet all of my brofists that neither Menck nor DU (and only Menck or DU, no stand-ins like MHC was for Crispy) will score more than 5 kills with either the BioRifle or Ripper (per weapon, for instance 4 with Bio and 2 with Ripper would not count) and still be the player with the most frags at the end of the match (frags as recognized by the Unreal Tournament server itself, not any Codex declaration). If one player permanently disconnects or is a no-show any time before the 25 frag limit is reached (including an outright match cancellation), this counts as the end of the match for the purposes of this bet.
+162 brofists for LundB

Now, I can find no condition that your own brofists would be returned to you. However, you are correct on a technicality that as they are being held by Scrooge, and are still technically your brofists, the whole 15,652 (+162 earned since then) were in play, allowing for an additional 15,814, and a total of 31,628 brofists. As Scrooge is holding these brofists for you until you have learned your lesson about taking part schemes that cause rife broflation, I have removed your brofists gained from betting and transferred all of these additional brofists to Scrooge.

Now on to Menckenstein:

DarkUnderlord I bet all my brofists on Menckenstein winning.
+19,976

Menckenstein thus had 39,952 brofists at his disposal, which was reset to zero for his shamefur dispray at attempted match rigging:

DU is just editing the HTML to make it look like that.

Yeah, even I know how to do that.

Shamefur disprays all around from the site staff.
You will have to judge for yourselves.

The truth is, I was aware of Menckenstein's and Crispy's attempts to rig this match and let Crispy win. What Menckenstein was unaware of however, was that I knew of the plan to ignore the plan and throw Crispy to the curb.

Their shamefur attempts to corrupt the honour and integrity of this noble competition should not harm innocent users however. But... their actions must be punished. As such, the following will occur:
- All bets will be honoured. Gimme a day to go through the thread and do all of those.
- As punishment for his participation in this act of treason, Crispy shall have the dishonour of wearing the custom tag "13-0". Someone will have to make that.
- As well as Emma's sad-face as an avatar for a period of one month (EDIT: Because he quit early).
- Menckenstein, for his part in this corrupt collusion, shall have his brofist count reset to 0.
- agentorange will be freed from Prosperland and shall have to live with the shame that his freedom was won with such dishonour and corruption.
- I will give Bruticis a custom tag of his choosing for being such a bro and hosting this. Again, someone's gonna have to make that.

As has been pointed out, it was a condition that these fists would be returned to Menckenstein in agreement for participation in the match, meaning then that his bet:

I wager all fists (including escrow fists) that the winner will win by more than one frag, provided the frag limit is reached (including frags earned before disconnect)
+1192 brofists to Menckenstein

... would be 39,952 + 1,192 all bet on a win by more than one frag = 82,288 brofists, which you would have been easily able to work out had you consulted the publicly available records, as I have just done. However, we also know your legal fees (despite you not being a particulary good lawyer, as I have so eloquently demonstrated here) are expensive being a standard rate of 50%. Meaning LundB gains 41,144 of Menckenstein's fists, leaving him with 41,144 total fists which have been returned to him.

As Scrooge continues to hold your brofists until you have learned your lesson, and also because you are such a terrible lawyer, your fee of 41,144 fists has been transferred to Scrooge.

As with all things in site feedback, this can only end in tears and rage.

The only question is whose tears and rage shall be spilt.

May the great d20 that looks down upon us all be swift and just in its rulings.

This is what you get when you add in popamole next gen features like brofists.

Anyhow DarkUnderlord, please address the following:

Andhaira is not banned. As such bets to unban him were ruled invalid.

That is a ridiculous extrapolation and you know it. :x

First, Andhaira is tecnically banned from posting in any forum except a sole thread in the Let's Play forum. Furthermore he also does not have private message privileges so he cannot specify the exact wording of bet conditions to anyone.

Second, in the first tourney of Menck vs Crispy Andhaira made some specific bets of his own in the Grimrock LP thread that have as of yet not been fulfilled.

It's been 2+ years DU, the Grimrock LP is not happening because Andhaira has other commitments and as such cannot devote time to a LP. Let's not continue with this cock codex blocking.

Now to complete the cycle of butthurt Scrooge needs to indulge in some reckless "investments/bets" with all those brofists in her account...

It would seem that the state considers woefully sloppy and inaccurate records adequate for these matters, despite previous words to the contrary. Not only that but it uses these inaccurate records as 'evidence' to demean the character of guiltless lawyers.

Incorrect. This fails to take into account the many fists gained between the Crispy match and the punishment. Nearly an entire month of fistings, not an insignificant number by any means. Smugness over such sloppy record keeping is truly distasteful.

In any case, as it does not take into account the many fists gained during that month, and you have stated that "These are brofists my learned friend! You can't just give a rough estimate. All brofists must be accurately accounted for and expended in accordance with the law." I obviously could not use such an inaccurate number in my accounting. My accusation of lack of available records stands.

This also means you have not given scrooge the right number of fists for safekeeping, damaging the integrity of the scrooge-banking system.

Sloppy work all around. I expect compensation for your slander.

... would be 39,952 + 1,192 all bet on a win by more than one frag = 82,288 brofists, which you would have been easily able to work out had you consulted the publicly available records, as I have just done.
This is unfair to Menck and Scrooge. Scrooge should not need to bear the responsibility of looking after so many extra fists, and since it is a matter of public knowledge and record that all my Codex legal work, terrible or not, is pro bono, they should not have been taken from Menck to begin with.

You are right about my lawyering, since only a terrible lawyer would try to use truth and reason in such a corrupt and sloppy justice system. But it is better to be a terrible lawyer than a terrible man, bowing to the vile forces of iniquity.

I lack the wit to put something hilarious here

I may not be a "big player" like many of the other fisters in this thread, but I have as much of a right as anyone to my fists. A month of excellent posting (which was partially undertaken to replenish the loss of brofists that was about to come) was flushed down the drain by incompetent accounting. Do you think I am made of brofists!? The middle brofist-class have had enough of being shafted by wasteful bureaucrats who are either oblivious to the damage they cause or simply do not care.

The problem with digital proto-currencies like brofists and bitcoins is that, until a critical mass of exchanges, vendors and other interfaces with the real economy is reached, the currency lacks a solid valuation basis and may be subject to excessive speculation, inflation or sudden declines in investor confidence. At present, it appears that brofists can only be used to purchase Obsidian-related newsposts. The sole financial institution dealing in brofists, the Bank of Scrooge, may seem secure, but questions remain over the pitiful interest rate offered and the illiquid nature of deposits.

Nevertheless, the number of brofists in circulation continues to grow and investors are beefing up their portfolios in anticipation of future returns. While a minority of analysts remain bearish, others point to the possibility of Golden Era Games accepting brofists for future game releases. This could be the tipping point to wider market acceptance. When Grimoire is released, canny early investors could thus reap significant gains.

Verdict: Strong Hold.

And to think all of this, this effort, this drama, came in to play merely from the wave of my hand me accepting Menck's challenge (which wasn't a serious one in the first place). I thought to myself, as I was replying to it, "This is going to shake the foundations of Codex. My dignity may be sacrificed, but my name will go down indelibly in the anals annals of Codexian history, even moreso than it already has."

I was right.

I'm telling you guys, it was totally worth it. All of it.

Incorrect. This fails to take into account the many fists gained between the Crispy match and the punishment. Nearly an entire montg of fiatings, not an insignificant number by any means.

You'd note the meagre 78 brofists you still retain. This is the sum total of the "entire month of fistings" to which you are entitled and which I left you with, after taking full and accurate accounting of all fists.

Sloppy work all around. I expect compensation for your slander.
I think I'll choose to sue you for libel instead. Which if you were a competent lawyer, you would realise its what's at stake here and not slander.

This is unfair to Menck and Scrooge. Scrooge should not need to bear the responsibility of looking after so many extra fists,
I assure you, Scrooge is more than capable of taking substantial fistings on behalf of the Codex.

and since it is a matter of public knowledge and record that all my Codex legal work, terrible or not, is pro bono, they should not have been taken from Menck to begin with.
The fists were also fine for your incompetence in jurisprudence and inability to consult a publicly available record, both in your fists held on your account (those attained) and those previously recorded in complete transcripts of the Courts prior judgements.

You are right about my lawyering
Indeed. :smug:
