I know the game Darklands was a long time ago but I remember playing this game and liking it only to not get very far because of a lot of bugs at the time.

Does anyone know who owns the right to this title or if anything similar compares to it? I

You used to be able to order it from Ultimate Darklands, but they are down due to their host going out of business. It's taking them some time to get things back in order. You might want to try Darklands.Net though. And I think you can still order it through Chips 'N' Bits.

As for a game that's like it...... well, historical-wise, you may want to check out Teudogar And The Alliance With Rome. Other than that, there really is no games LIKE Darklands that I can really think of. It's a unique title that still entertains me to this day.

    Not so fast thar.

The game just arrived on my doorstep today, and it runs just fine on my rig (with sound and everything). The key is using it with the fantastic DOS emulator, DOSBox.

I only managed to run it on XP with VDMSound. Classic game! I like it better than Ultima VII.
