Need a tally breaker for weapon of choice.
Can't we just dual-wield like the cool kids do? A sniper rifle in one hand, a pistol in the other. What? I've seen it in Fallout, it's legit!

We can always use Codex dice roller to settle the weapon thing.
I am sure that codex loves the harsh love of dice gods.

"..." You cross your arms and wait, assessing Sebastian's response. Sebastian does not immediately speak up either, and he takes his time to light up a cigarette with a fancy gold plated lighter. It's a standoff between two people matched in willpower and determination, yet Sebastian more out of being pressed for time than being the lesser willed, breaks the silence once he finishes his long drag on the cigarette.

"I don't want you to think I picked you out of the kindness of my heart. You have the resourcefulness and skills needed to make this unit a success. You'll be going after criminals. Not any two-bit thieves mind you, but serious shit. Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about here to put things in perspective. We are talking about, at the more extreme end, shutting down an entire Special Forces project on developing cyborg psychic troopers. It was shut down not only because of the multiple violations in the Hackford Cybernetics treaty, but also because a cyber crim like you beat it one on one. Fight fire with fire, as they say. Every case solved, every criminal apprehend means a few years off your 392 year sentence. Now, I can imagine you're dying to get out of purgatory, no?"

There are worse ways to spend prison. You'll even knock off your sentence if you're lucky enough, but an inkling in the deep depths of your mind is telling you that the chances of that are quite grim. Still, you'll be back down on Earth doing all the things you used to do, only this time with the law on your side. You nod your head and Sebastian takes it as a confirmation. "You'll be given 200,000 credits a month to spend as you please. Moment you step into New York your account will be credited that 200,000, plus a 50,000 bonus to get you started. For weapons and things of that nature, you'll be in contact with a Model A-6 robot. He'll relay your requests to be approved or denied."

200,000 credits a month is certainly very decent. But in your prime, you used to pull in almost twice that amount a month. It's enough to afford a good apartment and everything you'll need on a daily basis, but still...

"Make your way to medical, then to the shuttle at the docking bay. You'll be escorted."

1)Fuck it. You're dying to get out of this shithole. Head to medical.

2)Haggle him, maybe you can get him to up the price. Do you try to
a)Intimidate him into doing so
b)Reason with him. After all, going after some of the most dangerous criminals in the world requires a bit more than what you'll be making.
c)Brag. You used to be the toughest fucker there is and 200k is chump change compared to what you used to rake in.

3)"What's to keep me from going under the radar once I'm outta here, asshole?"

2B.

Is the third option a question for the chief or is it more like starting to think himself how to escape?

2: we're in prison, not a position of strength to negotiate

3: It's fairly obvious we'll be under close watch and I doubt he'd tell us anything that could aid us if we did wish to break out

It's more of a character choice, i guess. 1 means we are a good little soldier that does as he is told. 2 means we show some character. 3 means we are ignorant.

We probably cant pick this battle, true, but 2b is a 'mild' way to test the waters and maybe find something about our employer.
