Yea it is a pretty useless upgrade (pretty much the only useful thing about it is the minor convenience of Skill Respec at SB), just a matter of ego really. This is just scouting if we'd have the means to just get it over with.

How much Dilithium would people be willing to put into EACH base? Me, at least 500,000 and up to 1 million.

I'd toss in 500k per base. I don't really have anything else to spend it on. Man that Foundry exploit was good times, wasn't it?

Though in this game you don't need to be the chick, since most of the time you can just have an entourage of hot chicks and be swag about it.
True that.

BTW, I'm not giving away my dilithium, but I'm just a noob and only have 30K or so anyway.

EDIT: left my previous fleet, so I'm available now.

What's so bad about space jews? I would call them buttheads, because of the very distinct shape of their cranium, which I'm already tired of watching. Should have gone with some hot chick, as I usually do in TPP games.
Nothing. There's nothing BAD about it, it's just how it is. For obvious reasons. And if you're tired of your head, there are rep helmets you can unlock so you can just be this short helmeted dude instead.

Wait, wait, "LAST" Scimitar? Why the FUCK would you buy them one at a time, thus paying MORE for the same thing? That's the most idiotic thing I've heard anyone do here.

I have 0 refined dil at the moment; so I'd need a fortnight to make anything like a not-entirely-pointless contribution, say, 100,000.

So now you see why this plan scores very poorly on the entire "Good Idea" scale, as it will cost us 6 million and give us jack all. It's not even particularly useful for bragging rights: Everyone and their dog has that now. It's just a poor, tasteless expenditure, one that we're not under any kind of pressure to do, because the move can essentially be postponed indefinitely without drawback.

Yea, I was just curious if we were yet fat and contended enough to consider 6 mil a non-issue.

Given that I consider it an issue, and I have more than the lot of you put together and multiplied by 10, no doubt because none of you display any sense of industriousness or initiative, the answer is apparently "No".

It will give us 6 million FC thats pretty much the only reason to do this, FC generation.

Sure its HORRIBLE 1:1 conversion rate in D:FC but it also eats DOFFs and other stuff, T5 Starbase is useless yes but its also end tier and its not really holding anything at this point, its not as if someone slotted Bartender and we are now stuck with finishing so we can start the Fabricator T4 upgrade.

The only thing "bad" is the likely prospect of "under construction" visuals for months until its fully funded, otherwise at this point its entirely harmless since Starbase is done and no further upgrades are even available.

Owwwww a Patrol Escort: Fancy Edition. Since the standard issue Patrol Escort is my darling. I guess this'll be the one that I at long last buy to replace it.

"The Patrol Escort Refit: Tempest Class also comes with the Aft-Firing Tempest Tail Gun. This unique dual cannon is set up to fire on targets in the rear 90 degree arc of the Patrol Escort"'
Yay! Finally an Italian ship for more effective retreating!

You mad? Retreating?

Here are the stats:

Hull Strength: 31,500
Shield Modifier: 0.95
Crew: 200
Weapons: 4 Fore, 3 (4*) Aft
Device Slots: 2
Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Commander Tactical, 1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering, 1 Lieutenant Science, 1 Lieutenant Commander Universal
Console Modifications: 5 Tactical, 2 Engineering, 2 Science
Base Turn Rate: 16 degrees per second
Impulse Modifier: 0.2
+15 Power to Weapons
Can Load Cannons
Nadion Saturation Bomb console
Fused Aft Tempest Tail Gun

And yes, I verified them on Tribble.

You do NOT retreat with this ship because everyone should be dead.

They didn't tell what's a Nadion Saturation Bomb tho.

And in terms os stats, it's a lot like Heavy Escort Carrier if loaded for Tacticool. The real thing is that it can run Aux2Bat without issue.

I hate ground missions. The gameplay is so much better when it is about space ships. Ground stuff is boring, often contrived and quite bland - even worse than in other MMOs I've played (which has never been for very long).

Maybe it's just me wishing this game was instead a sequel to Bridge Commander, or at least Starfleet Command.

Ground combat is generally only interesting in the endgame Elite missions where a degree of tactics and mobility is needed. Standard episodes' ground combat is pretty yawn-inducing (though they have done better in the last two featured episodes where Ground is less combat and more Trekky).

How do I get to those feature episodes? Is it enough to just do story missions (which is what I mostly do anyway, except some dilithium farming now and then)?

You can skip story missions until you reach them. I think the only mandatory story missions involve going to talk to some asshole and then you're done and can go back to skipping.
