Hm... so there won't be anatgonists among the Ship crew, which we should force to peace and doves?
Like - it will be peaceful life in the established order of things, untill player's character discover something, and understood that he should do something, and thus he becomes antagonist?

It won't be peaceful in a sense that nobody would be holding hands and singing kumbaya. More like a cold war with occasional hostilities like North Korea blowing up some ships or firing across the border to make a point. Then you find something that fucks up the status quo and start looking for the highest bidder (or whoever you fancy the most).

Do you guys have an in depth time-line and backstory up to the launch of the ship from Earth? Would be interesting to know how that went about, if it was the UN, the lizards finally forming a NWO, an effort from just a couple of nations, etc

Yes.

It has already arrived. No, it's not a plot twist.

Which faction has the best romance options?
I believe, that faction, members of which have less extra legs.

North Korea
Poor North Corea, everybody use it as household name.
There are some much lie about it, so all examples mentioning North Korea a bit... don't know, doubtful?
There were NEWS how current leader shot his minister from greanade launcher, or cannon, and that he shot his wife.
Later they appear on TV, and it turned out that all NEWS about NC comes from South Korea.

I'm using it as an example of two rival countries sitting next to each other, a minefield between them, plus occasional hostilities that aren't being disputed by anyone.

Vault Dweller, in AoD you have the multiple angle approach as a narrative support. Do you plan to use the same narrative concept, or do you have other ideas in mind?

Sorry if this has been asked before as I haven't been following all updates closely, but do you plan on allowing the player to choose between multiple backgrounds for the PC like in AoD(mercenary, assassin, loremaster etc...) or he'll have only one vague background like in fallout games?

No parallel questlines revolving around the same events if that's what you're asking. It was an interesting experiment and we might revisit it one day but the problem was that as a result the faction questlines were fairly linear. Sure you could switch between the questlines and we did our best to offer as many choices as we could within each questline but it was impossible to offer parallel questlines that are also branching and very non-linear.

In a sense, it's a trade off, not scaling down as you can't have both. So this time our focus is on branching and non-linearity but with a single questline (you'd still be able to join a faction and see things through their eyes, of course).

No backgrounds. You start as one of the Freemen, which means just about anything, from scavenging and trading to killing and robbing when nobody's looking.

Thank you for your support. As for the engine, we're planning to use Unreal 4.

It's not really a plot point or a great mystery and we aren't going for "it's actually a life support system" twist. Everyone on the ship knows what it is and what the 'monks' do. The mystery, if any, comes from the fact that nobody but the initiated or high level officials are allowed inside and they don't talk about it. The 'monks' are among the most knowledgeable folks (most people simply don't need to have this kind of knowledge or opportunities to practice it, kind of like most people today being unable to fix their cars) because their duties demand a good working knowledge of the ship's systems.

Knowing how it went in AOD, I am certain that there are Healing Machines in there now :P.
