(hopefully you remembered your bonus for higher ground and Marcán's battle chant -- so +2 on top of your normal (it looks like you did)).

Rhenmyr hurls his spear at the creature just beginning its ascent and pierces its breastbone with a sickening wet thud. It topples forward a second later.

Oops. Sorry, Borric missed

Borric tries again, but in vain, to kick at the serpent-like thing.

Seeing the second creature fall and the immediate threat apparently dealt with, Rhenmyr says. "Brule, the bard's chanting can only mean they have trouble as well. Please help them. I'll hold here and call if more creatures come this way."

Pressed on by the strange battle chant of Marcán, Urash feels he cannot simply stand idle while the others face the horrible creature.

He reaches into his satchel bag, takes out a trio of iron-tipped darts and chucks them at the snake-thing!

[1d20+2] = 20+2 = 22
[1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19
[1d20+2] = 6+2 = 8

Damage: First throw was a critical hit, so that would be a MIGHTY 3 damage, right?

Here is a damage roll for the second throw: [1d3] = 3

I think the third throw is a miss.

Urash throws three heavy-tipped darts and two sink into its flesh eliciting a hiss of anger or pain.

Yup, critical hit does max damage, so 6 points total.

Don't forget movement and missiles happen in the first phase of the round, followed by spells and melee according to initiative order. so if anybody else plans to use missiles you go before the creature attacks.

L'ennui don't forget that when you fire a missle into melee there is a 50-50 chance to hit friend or foe (unless you are a fighter, in which case you can roll a saving throw to ameliorate this.) so if you don't mind roll a d100 for each projectile, 1-50 means you target an enemy, 51-100 means an ally is the target instead.

EDIT: I forgot one thing, if you move and use a thrown weapon you fire at half your normal fire rate (round down) therefore if you run back to the chamber where the serpent-thing is you get one shot (use your first roll, the crit).

I'll go ahead and roll Borric's d100
[1d100] = 1
Urash's errant throw plants a dart squarely between Borric's shoulders.

Brule comes running back into the chamber at just about the moment that Cormac finishes his ministrations of Ker's wounds. A second later the druid's eyes snap open and he takes a huge gasping breath and begins the process of scrambling to his feet.

Round 4:
Borric & Rhenmyr
Critters
Ker
Brule, Urash & Cormac
Marcán

Rhenmyr descends the stairs to retrieve his spear then resumes his watch at top of the stairs.

Seeing his stray projectile strike a friend, Urash's face goes red with anger.

He practically hisses:

"Curse you, snakeskin!"

Frantically, he reaches into his satchel for more darts, but rethinks his next move at the last moment. Instead of throwing more darts in anger and risking injuring his allies again, he will wait for a lull in the melee.

If he has a clear shot, he will throw three darts at the snake-thing.
