PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I honest to god forgot about the existence of Deuce Traveler and did not even consider him in my planning.

Justice was served at last. But yeah, the game only got interesting after a couple of days, which is due to the reason that in the first days there are simply no patterns of accusations and possible collusions between players to analyze. I think games in future would profit from more players (with possibly more special roles). Also the game should start with a night and not with a day because in the first day nothing ever happens anyways since there is no reason to.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Mr. Pink and Multiple Sarcasm didn't seem to be working together, so I picked Space Inspect as the likely guilty party. Besides, Multiple Sarcasm is a longtime bro.

Yeah, next round we could start mixing up the rules a bit, whatever will maximise the fun with 7-8 players. I'm still partial to an infection scenario where nobody/a few people dies, but if everyone is infected it's over.

Mixing thing sup would be good. I just didn't have the experience running a game to give it a try.

Been procrastinating by going down the 'game theory studies on Mafia' wormhole instead of working (really good procrastination material btw, whenever anyone comes into my office they see me engrossed in reading articles with the JSTOR page up, and instantly assume it's legit), and it seems like playing this online gives the innocents a massive advantage.

If the odds of choosing correctly are equal to random chance, then the innocents should win a great majority of the time. The killers usurp those odds by forming trust-relationships with the innocents - it's not enough for them to work together, they need to also bring at least some innocents under their influence in order to lower the innocents' odds of picking them to less than blind chance. When playing face to face, that's a very feasible option, which is why the killers often win, and why the game can sustain 'special roles' that massively favour the innocents and still be fair and competitive - the innocents have the odds if all was random, but two people deliberately aiming to manipulate others, can go very far in changing those odds.

Playing online undermines both of the killers' critical tasks. Because everyone can go back and read through the games' posts, it's far easier for the innocents to look back and see which players might be working in tandem. Worse, there's no real opportunity for the killers to strike up/manipulate personal relationships with the innocents.

Good points. That's why I think adding a 'neutral' character (who might have limited powers and wins as the only one left), the infection mechanic, or other means by which things get shaken up will be nice.

The mafia did manage to take it to the very last day both this game and the last, though.

So, when's the next massacre game? Grimgravy ?

If nobody steps up to run the next round, I'll try to set something up in a week or two. I'd want to read up on some of the other possible roles. I must say that watching the madness was as much fun as playing. So if someone's on the fence about hosting, they should give it a try.

I've read the Wikipedia article for the game, and I've got some ideas to spice things up. What's the deal with the infection thing?

I remember playing a few of these on the Paradox forums, really fun games, the people there roleplayed a lot. It has probably declined since then but you can probably still find a lot of information about the game on their OT forums.
