Wow. fantadomat, you really pissed someone off big time. What did you do?
Well there are all kind of special people in my country mate. I take it that he is a fellow citizen, most likely a capital boy like Lacrymas. They do tend to belittle the country and whine about how bad it is.

1UPT and hexagons are the official Bulgarian doctrine for 4X games. When Civilization V released, it was like a revival of the old empire. I hadn't had an erection since the crusades, but with Brave New World coming out I couldn't leave the house, my dick was so hard it wouldn't fit through the door.
If you prefer stacking units you are not a real bulgarian, you are a fake nostalgia westerner and probably a liberal too.

Sounds like every lefty in every western nation on the planet. Sometimes, I wish they would just fuck off to Tasmania where they can do whatever the hell they want, have whatever government they want and leave the rest of us alone. And I am not even Australian-born.

I've yet to see a game with decent AI and 1UPT faggotry. Maps always were too small for AI to handle 1UPT and he always suicided on cities and fortresses. I can't rememebr when I've built units other than archers and horseman sometimes. It is simply not required vs AI

I am enjoying the game, and I am really looking forward to any new versions or upgrades that might be available in the future.

For me, I like all of the additional detail in Civ VI. It really takes the game to a new level IMHO.

Warlock or Gladius.
That or all of the Panzer General/Panzer commander series, Elven Legacy, Codex of Victory, Rites of War, or Unity of command if you don't mind 1UPT and the game not being 4X at all (but rather "tactical puzzles").

Anyway, the Civ series always had a very bad AI that relied a lot on cheating(what is the highest level at which the AI does not cheat nowadays?). So its incompetence only becomes more apparent when you make warfare more complex than just having the strongest force, as it cannot cheat by teleporting units or making them materialize out of thin air.

Didn't play it that much, but M.A.X. is supposed to have a decent AI.
MAX was hard, but the simutlaneous turn gave a strong advantage to the AI, who has better APM than a puny human.
It didn't really feel like a 4X, though, more like a "Turn Based RTS" (but it was a very good one).

I was surprised to see Civilization VI on the Steam top sellers of 2018. Even though it is aimed directly at the very broadest of mainstream gaming audiences, I thought the terrible AI, silly leaders, and very high price points would hamper sales. Not to mention the general displeasure with the season-pass / DLC. But nope, it cruised right to the top of sales. I wonder how much is marketing muscle (which eats heavily into profits) and how much is the mainstream gamer simply not caring about the problems with the game because of glitzy graphics and Sean Bean voice-overs.

Civilization is the flagship title of an entire genre. It would take a failure on the level of ME3 + MEA to make it sink.

Yep. People buy it "cause it's sivilizayshun, man! I've been playing this shit since I was a wee lad" Heck even I pirate it from time to time even though there hasn't been a decent offering after Civ4.
Only time I remember the reviews went crazy bad was when they included RedShell in the recent patch.

None of those things effect the average steam user.

-Terrible ai.
The average steam user doesn't play logn enough to even notice anything. And the ones that do play until the end want to win and feel awesome,so the ai helps them.
-Silly leaders
This is seen as a improvement by everybody(everybody causal that is). They don't want good art style, they want caricatures designed for children and they get it.
-High price point
Not a problem considering most gamers today have way too much money to spend. And 4x/strategy gamers are the worst when it comes to spending money.I mean how else do you think the paradox dlc model survived?
-Dlc bullshit
This is seen as a good thing because in their eyes it extends the life of the game.So the more dlc the better reception for strategy games.

Also this is the only aaa 4x game series on the market, that certainly helps. The endless series lacks the aaa polish.

Warlock of Gladius.
I hope you're joking, the AI in Warlock is absolutely retarded, it will found cities in a 3 hex space surrounded by your borders.

The strategic AI is no good indeed, but the AI managed to move units consistently IIRC, unlike in civ 5.

Civ V's average player numbers are 50% higher than Civ VI's player numbers (24k vs 17k). Even normies seem to dislike the game and the direction they took with the expansion.

Continued player numbers probably don't matter as much to them. Big name games get most of their sales in the first few weeks, you'd want to compare the player base in the first month of Civ 6's expansion vs. the same for Civ 5's expansions to see how many players are "staying on".

I think they do matter. Civ VI was a success at launch because of Civ V's ongoing popularity and their commitment to fix the game (with paid expansions). I don't see the same sentiment for Civ VI. People weren't happy with the expansion and the numbers dropped pretty quickly instead of elevating the average player number to a higher level, as Civ V expansions did.

Nah,it is the lack of mods.Even normies use vox populi or some other complete change mods.
Civ 6 modding scene minus leaders is a joke.

They should learn from paradox.Allow somewhat easy modding, steal mods ideas and sell them back to the audience.
But i guess firaxis s really incompetent to even do that.

Also they should learn about multiplayer from paradox as well.Civ 5-6 multiplayer is a joke and a large amount of players want to play together but just don't want to deal with the shit that is current civ multiplayer.
