he definitely has a codex-worthy level of autism there (the deathclaw guy, not MCA)

I googled the Wayside creations deathclaw thing and found this thread on reddit (he's "WerewolfFindsDragon"). Seems to be the same guy saying the same kind of bullshit.

I honestly think that Avellone is a sociopath.

If you want to see how genuinely horrible of a person he is, just read this interview:

http://www.nma-fallout.com/article.php?id=14255

That links leads nowhere.

Does anyone know what this guy is talking about?
It's the interview with NMA. They changed their website and it seems to be gone, but it's archived in the wayback machine. It's a really good and funny interview, I remember seeing it linked here back when I was a lurker.
MCA talks like a jerk and mocks the interviewer in a playful way, but the deathclaw retard seems to have taken it very seriously.

They clearly know each other:

Satisfied? Now let’s move on to Fallout, since that’s what this interview’s REALLY about, Odin, you muck-raking post-holocaust three-nippled whore.
I like walking around in the Santa Ana winds at night (with Odin’s mom) because it’s like the air is electric.
I did some design, made some RPGs I’m proud of, helped found a company, and broke the heart of every girl in Orange County, including Odin’s Mom, who is totally hot and a real wildcat in the sack.
“Thanks” again, Odin, you little news-weasel. May you burn in hell.

Talking deathclaws are a weird hill to die on.

they were originally going to add a bunch of deathclaw-like intelligent mutant badger things to Fallout 1, but they didn't have the technology for it.

um

As for the Burrow, this location was written by an early designer associated with the project. While it was well written, I felt that its content was not appropriate to our Fallout universe, mainly based on its style and feel in the game and not on its artistic merit. So I did not approve its addition to the game, and that Glow holodisk is all that remains of any reference to that area. - Tim Cain
Burrows: I always felt it didn't fit in with the rest of the game. It was a finely designed area, and would have helped the Glow, but it just didn't seem Fallout-like. - Chris Taylor

That guy really likes intelligent deathclaws.

You want intelligent deathclaws. I want intelligent deathclaws. A search around the Internet for talking/intelligent deathclaws and the attempts to mod them back in shows that the majority wants talking deathclaws.

Same topic / request... posted exactly once - on 4 different websites..

When I play Fallout 2 I usually take Goris as a companion; he's a bro and his claws do a ton of damage. But the whole talking deathclaw thing was pretty dumb.

Someone invite this guy to the codex. He'd fit right in.

Bethesda won't include talking deathclaws because they are afraid of Avellone
Yeah that has to be it, when Todd tried to get green supermutants put in the game they found the main office broken into and threatening messages painted on the wall in goat's blood.

I want to know who on the codex wrote that shit. It's hilarious and only someone from this place can be behind it.

Talking deathclaws might be the most egregious offense against the One True Fallout Game.
