I've just realised that screenshots don't excite me unless they are of character sheets. I'd still want the fuck out of this game if it had CGA graphics.

How are these guys funding a game like this?

Also, what the gentleman above me said. I want to see a character screen.

I think the fact that they are using the D&D 3.5 OGL and using ToEE as a paradigm means the character sheets will be as deep as they need to be.

No need for Kickstarter because they'd rather sell 30,000 copies at $40 each instead of 30,000 pre-orders at $20 each

And don't give me any BS about 'they could set their Kickstarter pre-order price at whatever they want' because when one of these Kickstarter shmucks makes history and raises their pre-order price to $60 they are gonna get rickrolled

If this game is all that it says it will be, it will sell far more than 30,000 copies.

They need a more creative use of lighting to be able to stand up against the Infinity Engine renders

Plus some actual colours would be nice, or some architecture etc.. The areas frankly look a bit boring to me.

I could care less what it looks like. If the COMBAT focus is like ToEE then HELL YES. And a well done UI.

They've said the shots are all WIPs, hopefully they'll show the UI soon. I can't wait to see a video of it in action.

When they were going to make the bestest continuation of Jagged Alliance eva. Check how it turned out.
It also looked neat on the screenies.

I wonder if it's possible to zoom out a little bit.. not too much but the characters look a bit too big to me.

    Looks great! But...

Nooooo, not shitcomposer. Expecting the worse. I bet, we'll soon hear that RtwP is actually better than turn-based, etc.

Dunno anything about bit composer but the devs have already clearly said that they learnt a lesson from the shitstorm JA BiA caused and that the system was made RT against their wishes. This title will most definitely be turn based.

I'm also hoping this is the case, camera seems a little too close for exploring or fighting. As you said doesn't need to go back too much but a a bit of control would go a long way.

Yeah well, they basically say the bad publisher made them do it. Guess that makes it all a-OK. Lets join hands and sing a song because they promised us a second ToEE.
Thing is, I don't believe a word they say. In one interview they claim they are aware that BiA was a spectacular failure, and in their PR they call it a stunning success. Now that's just telling everyone what they want to hear, or is it not?

Actually, you may be right. If the game is licensed, well at least I can trust the licensing terms to keep the fucktards and their retardation in line.
Still, DnD 3,5 may sound like heavan, but it doesn't make or break games, imo. ToEE had a nice combat system, but little else to keep it going.

Dunno if you had any experience with BiA, but IMO RtwP was actually the least of its problems. It was filled with badly thought out and badly implemented features (and not just compared to Jagged Alliance - e.g. the way they handled C4 explosives was plain retarded - only placeable on fixed spots on the map... and there being only one or two on each map).
For your sake, I do hope you're also unaware of the shitstorm that surrounded the fog of war in BiA, because that one was just classy. I literally felt my brain melting away when the PR guy said fog ow war is obsolete, because nowadays anybody and their grandmother can buy a cheap UAV for scouting.
Yeah, they patched it in eventually.

They can blame it all on the publisher fo shizzle, but as far as I am concerned, bitcomposer are talentless hacks until proven otherwise.
And believe me, I would really love to be proven wrong this time.

I admit, I got burnt by the JA BiA pos so bad I still have a bad aftertaste. (aka. I am butthurt and I know it)

Graphics do not look good at all, especially character models. Way too big, way too clunky looking.

Divinity Original Sin looks much, much better.

It's not about being a graphics whore, I am not, it's just that I prefer graphics done in a certain way kinda like ToEE.

Just to rub it in a little bit, the screenies look a bit like a hi0res version of Ruins of Myth Drannor.
