If you like that genre and you can read Spanish, which I'm guessing you do, there is "Slang" by Nosolorol (a Spanish games publisher). It uses a variation of the FATE system, it's set in LA and inspired by 1990s crime action and drama films. It is also reasonably well documented in regards to gangs, law and the city.

"Powered by Apocalypse" Oh, go fuck yourself.
Well, it's only a lightweight setting book probably intended to provide a basis for quick and dirty campaigns (the fact that it uses TV series as a selling point should tell you as much). It could be worse. Imagine "Kult - powered by Apocalypse".

Ooops!

Nah theres no prob with apocalypse rules. It's a great fit for this kind of crime soap, actually. But lemme guess: you would rather play it powered by D&D, with sicarios shooting fireballs from their asses and cocineros prepping healing potions.

:hmmm:

Now THAT is worrisome.

That's the 4th edition of Kult, going to the print shop very soon. The system is a variation of Apocalypse.

I backed it because I like the setting, although I find the new system too lightweight. Second edition is where it's at.
