EDIT: Oh yea, in the Calamity Trigger Reconstructed arc, Bang's color-coded ninja henchmen accuse you (after fighting Bang with Jin) of spamming too much Ice Car.

EDIT2: Also, cleared Makoto's story mode 100% today... Hazama/Terumi and Relius seem to live only for aspiring to new heights of bastardry!

Blazblue is an RPG because your actions in the gameplay have plot consequences.

Tangible ones too like different characters to fight and come to think of it the Abyss Mode has character leveling and inventory.

Shit, that means Blazblue is more of an RPG than Mass Effect.

The new Help Me Professor Kokonoe! sections are hilarious. Particularly the ones with Makoto (Kokonoe goes full raeg about being a "lacking lady", as Taokaka would put it) and Valkenhayn (Kokonoe goes full raeg about not being a playable character before "lolis, geezers and perverts"). Also, Platinum's gag reel takes the cake on the batshit insane category.

Yea, Platinum is a pretty cute character now that she's been properly introduced. It was also awesome to see Bang step between her and Relius (seriously, Capcom would never let their joke character do awesome stuff because obviously a joke character can't be a serious character as well).

I remember having some huge reservations about Platinum at first(oh god a magical girl) but s/he ended up being a pleasant surprise.

And yeah, joke characters are just joke characters(ex Dan) in Capcom games.

Only a few do like Valk.

But yea, a big thing going on for BlazBlue is that the main bad guys who have appeared so far, Terumi and Relius, make almost all other video game villains look like choir boys. M. Bison and Shao Kahn ain't got shit on them in the Scale of Evil Deeds. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but now that Platinum and Makoto got their story modes, there isn't a single playable female character who hasn't had horrible things done to them by one/both of them (Makoto has got it worst so far though, with mind-rape AND a guro-rape-murder threat)?

They haven't done anything against Taokaka AFAIK.

Is the story mode in this more fun than in the first BlazBlue? I like the game, but it was really boring to have to lose every fight once to get all the %.

You'll be happy to hear that you don't have to lose ALL fights to get the complete percentage(only a handful to get the bad paths).

Actually, only a few characters have that, and it's always a single fight you have to lose, IIRC. None of the new characters in Extend have story paths that require you to lose, it's all making (wrong) choices.

Would Taokaka count though?

Cool. Unlike the first BlazBlue, then? Because I know even the losses that didn't lead anywhere gave a percent or so there, for the short losing dialog.

Nah, only complete paths count, which means Complete percentage = True Ending, Bad Ending and Gag Reel.

Abyss Mode sounds pretty cool after looking at it on the wiki. Wish it was available on a PC version.
