The thing is, I've wiped off the Ironheads. So this was quite a WTF moment. If they were meant to be more than a local gang, spread out all over Lower Underrail instead of being based on one base, this wasn't communicated well in the game.

Styg, additionally, not bugs but

I also found it odd that even after the Eels takeover of Junkyard with SGS assistance, Free Drones takeover of SRO and the Protectorate in Lower Underrail being confined to the Junkyard embassy, SGS would join the United Stations simply because Vera is so rosey about them. That as soon as Tanner, Gorsky and the Player is out of the picture, Vera becomes the single voice of SGS to rule in favour of unification, when Old Jonas and Ezra, the other council members, seem to be against the idea.

It is also problematic from a stability angle with Free Drones on their door step. Free Drones have just taken over SRO and expanded operations in Lower Underrail while SGS has strengthened their hand with the Junkyard deal, and now putting themselves up as a target for Free Drones by joining the Protectorate sort doesn't make sense to me.

I think that a unification outcome should require a couple more conditions, such as Eels+Protectorate deal at Junkyard and the presence of Ironheads if the player doesn't deal with them.

Speaking of Free Drones, since Free Drones get to sabotage the Epione elevator regardless of who the Player sides with, is there a particular reason why we don't get the CAU attack on Free Drones when we join Free Drones? Player doesn't get to do anything special for CAU when helping them against Free Drones, so shouldn't the Protectorate set CAU loose on their asses either way?
