Over the last several weeks, we’ve been exhaustively testing Bombshell to get it ready for ship. Unfortunately, and honestly, the game isn’t entirely bug free at this point. Our first instinct was to just get this puppy out-the-door, and that we could fix the remaining issues with a quick patch after launch. But within ten seconds we realized that’s no way to treat paying fans of our games.

As painful as this is to say, we’ve made the command decision to move our release date out a bit. This will give us the time to polish the game that we know you all deserve, and the team here is raring to put in the hours necessary and get sh*t done! Bombshell will release on Windows PC on both Steam and GOG.com on January 29, 2016.

From a prerelease review -

There is no real depth to this game, it's more A- than -RPG. For example, there are no puzzles to solve, no items to pick up, no skill tree to explore, and no character class customization available. You are able to pick up 9 weapons as the game progresses, each can be leveled up. Their alternate fire modes branch in two directions. You can level up 4 skills or 3 base stats. That's about it. There is plenty to explore but be prepared to a lot of of walking, as quests are simply 'pick up colored crystal and bring back to door' types of tasks.

Too bad. I was looking forward to this one for a while. I really don't understand why they wouldn't add some meat to the rpg parts of the game since they really seem to have put a lot of effort in all other aspects of it.

I'm picking it up today. It is too bad (from what it sounds like from the pre-review) it's shallow and they didn't flesh out the RPG aspects of it...but I enjoy these kinds of shooters. Will be a nice distraction until something better comes along.
