A csi blade runner tv series, done right and not cheesy, ending with "reitrement" ea episode, could be cool as hell.

Weave an idea or two per season.

With Prometheus and this BR sequel Scott is obviously trying to recapture his old magic, but I think his artistic talent has been burned out a long time ago. There was a time when I really hoped for such sequels by Scott, but right now I don't have high hopes.

The movie doesn't leave much space for a "direct" sequel, so I hope that the new movie is simply based in the BR universe with replicants and such.

You might try Total Recall 2070, it's a tv series that mashes together ideas from a few different PKD novels.

I'm inclined to believe that Ridley Scott's good films are good in spite of being directed by Ridley Scott.

Ha, about Prometheus, it's funny that they even add ''all answers will be answered in deleted scenes'' in bluray commercials.

You know, that is a special feature only if Damon Lindelof is involved.

KoH haven't seen. Is this one of those extremely historically inaccurate portrayals of some historical figures?
Gladiator is overrated action pomp. With some serious hamming by Phoenix.
BHD is your standard action movie that could have been directed by anyone. With faceless negroids. Not to say it's bad, but nothing particularly memorable.
T&L still haven't seen. Because really, two unattractive waitresses decide to, what, rob a bank? +Brad Can't Act Pitt.
Black Rain is good, but there's nothing that would suggest Scott directed it.
Legend, not sure if I've ever finished watching this because there was such a hideous amount of bloom to everything I just thought the fuck is this shit.
Blade Runner - serious budget restraints and extremely creative crew and script writer who knows what he's doing makes for a masterpiece.
    Alien - see above.

KoH is not what I would call accurate. I haven't seen it in ages, but it was pretty good. The guy who played Baldwin did a pretty great job if I recall.

    Who gives a fuck?

He's dead to me after that abortion called Prometheus.

He's like Lucas, all he can do is fuck up things he did right when he was younger.

Shit, that was Norton? No wonder he was good. Couldn't tell it was him, cause of the mask and all.

Movie will probably suck because Scott has been sucking pretty hard lately. Even his better films (Gladiator) are pretty sappy.

I predict some replicant character will say some shit like, "I never asked to be born, mankind is not my mastah!" etc. etc. and the critics will say, "Intelligent SF that asks the hard questions about science and the future of artificial life" and wanna-be SF nerds will all go to see it.

Then again, maybe it wont suck? Nah.

It will blow MisterStone, precisely because many of the directors that were good were good because they had to make due with little and it forced them to evolve.
Now, those same directors no longer need to make due. They simply ask, and it is received.
Because of that, they are stagnant in the mind, and that is the tragedy of success that they have inflicted upon us.

Prometheus was alright. Not a new classic however. I doubt this will turn out differently.

Not that I really care. If it does, nice. If it doesn't? Whatever.
