For the record, Black Ops sold more than Modern Warfare 2.

Walking tanks? Wow, feels like playing Commander & Conquer. They sure did their research about tank treads vs legs. Also, piss filter.
Otherwise it'll be another fun derp ride like the original Black Ops.

Oh, look. The single player campaign will have a historical part, set in the 1980's.

Contra death squads in Central America, Reaganite intrigue! Maybe we'll get to meet Henry Kissinger!

Uhh, why did the trailer rip off Human Revolution so much? Piss filter (as was pointed out), similar mechs, extremely similar synth music etc. Heh, I don't think there's a more unlikely AAA FPS for CoD to rip off. Interdasting.

Maybe because it was a better game?

The original MW was actually a really good single and multiplayer offering, but the sequels have been excrementally bad (particularly on PC).

This looks fairly lame. Why can't they just go back to WW2 again now that no one has released a mainstream WW2 FPS for years?

    The Evolution of Shooters

First there was WW2 then clones of grandpas war started to feel lacking, repetitive and non-stylish so we went Modern Warfare and then a bit of Cold War for good measure then the industry (as in us, cos we're awesome lolloll) decided that the not-too-distant future was perfect for a made up Cold War with China because like, the near future is both flexible and awesomely EXTREME WEAPONRY whilst still being close to home you know. Buy CoD bonds.
