Why are shitlords in this very thread excited about skyrim and its dlcs being on sale instead of buying good indie games?

No. But I still think the vanillas are best played on a computer screen of their respective times.

Don't be silly brah.

My opinion at least, and that of some other guy who did a bunch of cool moding stuff. I think the game does not scale well on modern screens but I know next to nothing about that stuff, it's just an impression.

The HD fixes that, but it comes with so many problems it's not worth it.

One thing though, do you have any idea on how to run Rise of Nations? It seems with that game at least i seem to have no choice.

Are you speaking about the steam version? There used to be a bug about steam's shitty launching not sure they fixed it.

I'm talking about the gold version. I'm getting "graphics services failed to initialize" or something about the game not being able to run at 256 colors depending on which executable i try to use. I tried googling both error messages and read nearly every single page that popped up but no solution. So basically i can't play the game at all.

So Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is on a daily deal right now and I clicked to check it out since I haven't played one until now and was thinking of buying it.
When I got to the store page I saw that it seems there are 20 payed dlc for this game with a total cost of 189.80 euros and one free.
:hmmm:

I guess some people in KOEI and in Vavle have a hard time grasping the meaning of the word complete

Its just some costume packs and wallpapers. No real game content what I can see.
People buy anything and I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands that bought that 13 euros wallpaper pack. Much value.

Every time I see tons of DLC I just back right out, even if it's only like $5-10 worth. I'll sometimes pick up DLC for a game I already own, but if it's a new purchase I mostly end up not purchasing the game at all.

Saint's Row 4 is fun in that sandboxy, whacky and over the top way. Saint's Row 3 is more toned down, but it's what GTA4 should be, but didn't.

SR3 toned down? Are you insane? If SR3 is toned down then I don't wanna know how is SR4.

Holiday break coming up and I have a good four days alone to do some real RPG damage to myself.

Thanks to the Steam sale I have acquired Codex approved assets.

The choices I have are

Lords of Xulima - start again and finish it (got halfway through pre release version)
Blackguards - complete the game - currently in chapter 4
Shadowrun Dragon fall DC - start it
M&M X Legacy - start it
Fallout NV - play the DLC
The Banner Saga - start it

Any advice? Don't want to waste this opportunity? I was thinking of going M&M - mainly due to my emotional connection with that series.

New Vegas you will need to dick around with a stupid amount of mods to get complement the mediocre release, blackguards is an acquired taste, legacy is good fun if you enjoy grid based first person rpgs, banner saga is good for one playthrough for the graphics alone, Dragonfall is the one I had the most fun with

Uh, he's already played everything except the DLCs so I don't think you need to sell him on the core gameplay.

Bad idea. FNV can be passable if you turn a blind eye to some glaring flaws, but the gameplay in all the DLCs is offensively horrible and they will brutally murder any enthusiasm you might've had for vanilla in about 30 minutes.

I would play Dragonfall. The campaign is long enough to keep you interested, there isn't any filler content and the game has good dialogues/battles ratio. Great music, nice graphics and interesting story will keep you entertained.
