You wouldn't find anyone anyways, all the meat was in SP. It's a great arena FPS with awesome weapon feel, and actually difficult. Think Serious Sam with a budget.

I'd say go for it, but it's probably been cheaper before.

EDIT: Painkiller BLACK is what you're looking for. All the sequels were terrible and the reboot gave Totalbiscuit cancer.

For someone who wishes cancer upon others, and then gets it himself and starts fishing for sympathy/attention because of it - it's NEVER too soon.

Well he got the american nationality some months ago with lots of fanfare and middle fingering. Now he cannot come to the motherland to enjoy the sweet sweet NHS socialism.

Is the Painkiller reboot + DLC worth it at 80% off? Reviews for it weren't that good but it seems to be mostly criticized for length and not adding much, not it actually being worse than the original.

All Painkiller games are an awful grindfest, with very linear levels. Enemy and weapon design is quite creative, but it wasn't enough to hold my interest for more than a couple of hours.

I've already played through Black Edition a few times, hence why I'm wondering if the remake is half-decent, because I'd like something new even if it's not very different.

You many consider buying only if you played original and loved it. Otherwise - waste of coins. It's technically not great (some bugs or Havoc borking).
If you consider buying DLC for it then grab Heaven's Above, Zombie Bunker (flail is better than defausl melee and it's grolious) and maybe that one which add Town, rest is not that much worth. Also - Blood Sea is broken piece of shit that broke rest of DLCs (like Heaven's Above, luckly I finished it before) and cannot be finished due bug after boss fight.
Marvelous.

Those PK made by modders/fans are completely unbalanced, nonpolisher. Reccuring Evul could be great in not the insane amount of enemies per square. Watchiing the enemies spawning on small area and falling from the cliff due overpopulation aforementioned cliff is priceless, but not in the good way I'm affraid.

Now time to try City Critters. Hope this will be better than last one.

Smoek wead Impaling mobs everyday all day.

What? Painkiller is great fun, and nothing close to grindfest.

Some of you guys forgot to put on your "arcade" helmet. Games like Serious Sam, Painkiller, Necrovision and even Call of Juarez Gunslinger are for the most part Kill as many people/monsters in the shortest time to get the best combo/multiplier/score.
In Gunslinger you had to shoot something every 4 seconds to keep the combo going to net you more points and in turn unlock extra abilities for those points. Some people find it stressful and some people find it really fun. Painkiller doesnt differ much, more boring your gamestyle is, more your overall experience will suffer.
Some people love to blow shit up and some like to sneak and backstab jungle boars in Farcry3. To each its own.

Sang-Froid has some interesting ideas with fear, spring-traps, and slow-loading muskets. But the gameplay is riddled with mis-steps. The enemies aren't utilized as they should, likely due to the poor engine, maybe also to poor level design. The pathfinding is terrible, which becomes a real problem because one of the things you're supposed to do is redirect the enemy with "walls". Sometimes the enemy would start running around in circles, going nowhere, and I thought it was a bug, but then I realized they were getting stuck because of a reroute and couldn't figure out where to go. And once the pathfinding is broken, it stays broken. Even if they get off the wall, they'll do weird stuff instead of what they're supposed to, like run straight at a wall in the opposite direction and get stuck on it.

But probably the worst offender for most people is going to be the clunky and empty combat when you're meant to wade into the thick of it. You're swinging axes around, but they're quick and with no oomph or power when they hit. It looks and feels more like you're swinging a smallsword - other than the fact that you're using superpowers, like spinning around in a circle with it (which was a bad choice of attack style for the overall tone of the game), which isn't very small-swordy.

And the kicker, game's been in a bundle for a dollar already, and so likely will be again.

Finally, Rajas of India and Sons of Abraham on discount.
7 pounds paid and now I own every expansion, portrait and unit pack for the game.

You've played: 4 hours.

STFU steam you don't know me.

EDIT: So was Rajas of India any good anyway? Which mod does hip people play this days, other than GoT and TES?
