If you will open google translate

Select English -> Japanese
And type "RPG Codex"

It will translate it as "Action Codex"

Even Google knows the shit you talk about in this place aint RPG no more

And if you translate Sky Way into Japanese and English and back you get 'Empty Road'.

EmptyRoad is way cooler than MetalCraze bro.

sgc_meltdown, where's that from? I assume it's tongue-in-cheek, but I'm not really sure what it's trying to convey.

Ok, I've read through the thing, at least to the point of being up to date, and you know what? It *is* a furry comic - an incredibly good one.

Eh, I suppose. I tend to think of "furry" as having a sexual/fetishistic connotation. For example, a lot of children's books have anthropomorphic animals as characters, but I don't think of them as "furry books"; even if some people may use them as fetish fuel, it's not their main or even an intended auxiliary function. Regardless, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Geology gags were almost a sort of running gag, but what I really liked were hyenas. The way Ursula extrapolated them into intelligent, albeit tribal beings with their own mythology, customs and so on is nothing short of stellar

Yeah, the geology stuff comes out more in the comments. And the hyena's societal structure closely resembles the actual tribal behavior among a certain species of hyena, incidentally. They have complex societies with aggressive, dominant female hunters and such; I don't remember any of the details off the top of my head, but again, BunnyRock paints a compelling case in the comments.

What's with all the DA-style pictures? And what's with Comic Sans font? Ugh. This thread is definitively declining...

I think I figured out what's causing all those server errors that take the codex down from time to time. This thread has declined so much it's collapsing into a singularity and the server is being drawn into its event horizon.

Well usually the main forum has all the srsbsns lofty discussion but now it appears all the material for the best thread ever posts somehow found their way into separate threads.

Geology gags were almost a sort of running gag, but what I really liked were hyenas. The way Ursula extrapolated them into intelligent, albeit tribal beings with their own mythology, customs and so on is nothing short of stellar and it's like this thing DraQ was talking about when saying that you can do much more interesting things with 'furries' in fantasy than with your bog-standard lolves and durrves.

The comic is also chock full of bizarre humour, bizarre characters, philosophy and good dose of well-written, not in the least overblown drama.
Poor Ed. :(

Ursula Vernon does indeed rock.
:salute:

All in all, the situation with furries isn't all too different from situation with RPG fans:
you have a lot of fucked up, retarded and extremely shoddy crap including retarded emo kids, furverts and tons of embarassingly bad crayon porn - you have bethtards, perverted biowhores and a whole lot of JPG worshipers.
Then, buried underneath all the manure, you have a handful of people making or interested in good, or at least interesting stuff like Digger and it's author - then you have ITS, Codex and other angry farts bemoaning the decline.
You shouldn't judge the latter on the basis of the former.
That was quite eloquent, DraQ. I salute you :salute:

Wow, Bio boards have produced something deliberately funny and pretty entertaining.

Hi guys

I know I'm new to the forum so I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you, it's a song I made about Commander Shepard.

Hope you enjoy it! Also if anyone knows how to embed let me know, couldn't find it in the FAQ!

I expected true horrors, but the song's alright, pretty funny. Of course, he's new there. They won't be long in sucking the life out of him.
