Fucking Brood War. I remember the addition of snow as if it was some kind of game changer.

Oh yes, I remember. I remember Bloodmoon adding a sizeable landmass and new quests to Morrowind. I remember Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors adding many new playable nations, and new campaigns to play. I remember when a small expansion pack was at least a quarter the size of the original game, and a big one almost as large as the original. Those blissful pre-DLC days, when those things actually added real content rather than just 5 minute quests.

Bloodmoon was fucking huge! I remember having a legit blast playing it with my only serious Morrowind character. He was an Argonian Monk, using Restoration, Unarmored and Hand-to-Hand. Naturally, that made him one kick-ass werewolf! And by the time I made him, I didn't know there'd be werewolves, so it was a lot of fun. The only sad part was finding all those super powerful weapons and having no reason to use them. (They were so strong that even with like 20 skill they chunked tough enemies in no time.)

And you know, you can't even do this in Skyrim anymore. There's no unarmored skill. There's no dodging, no Agility, no Speed. There's no unarmed combat skill and fighting unarmed doesn't even increase any skill at all. There's no agility so playing an acrobat or physical character doesn't make you run or jump any faster or higher than a mage or a knight in heavy armor. It's almost depressing. I am playing Skyrim because I am starved for a hiking sim - and yes, it's decent to hike in. But there's absolutely no game there, not even with the (really good) Requiem overhaul I am using. It makes it barely tolerable but I'd have given up if I didn't have it by now and just replayed Morrowind for the n-th time instead.

Disney movie based on The Snow Queen about a crown princess discovering she has ice-based mutant powers and buggers off to the mountains when her secret comes out in the open and starts to freeze her country over so her sister, a peasant, a moose and a talking snowman go after her. Tumblr called it racist because the native Scandinavians weren't dark-skinned enough, despite the people living there are pretty much the whitest people on the planet.

And the prince was written by George R. R. Martin.

You forgot the SJW twist at the end.

Ennuigi: http://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=2232&pid=12311&autoplay=1#pp

Spend some time with a depressed, laconic Luigi as he chain smokes and wanders through a crumbling Mushroom Kingdom, ruminating on ontology, ethics, family, identity, and the mistakes he and his brother have made.

Controls:

- left/right: walk around
- up: ruminate
- down: smoke

About the game:

This is a shot at a collection of ideas I had a few years ago, about looking critically at the universe of Super Mario Bros. in light of the total lack of explicit narrative in the original game in particular. Who are these strange men? What motivates them? By what right do they wreak the havoc they do on this strange place? What do they feel about where they are and what they're doing?

And so, this is one lens through which to look at all that, with Luigi, the second brother, the also-ran, as a complicit onlooker, wandering now through some fractured, rotting liminal place in this strange world, reflecting on it all in scattered fragments.
