I don't think that's fair. Ratface was clearly just using reverse-psychology.

That Ken Levine thing reminds me of a 'chan post I once saw where an anon posted an image of his waifu in one of those 3D porn simulators.

Another anon replied by getting his hands on that exact model and posted images of her being fucked silly, making for an elaborate case of e-Netorare.

Oh Star Citizen. Truly you do a great job at drawing in people with more money than common sense.

Wing Commander, ffs
I made the conversion from dosh to my local currency and this is fucking bananas. To pay the 6k thing you'll have to work for like 10 months, more or less (with a mediocre salary, but still). Evolve seems dangerously sane in comparison.

$620 per month is 'mediocre salary' where you live, and not 'sub-poverty probably dying in the street salary'? What godforsaken hellhole is it?

People make more than that flipping burgers for just 3 hours a day at McDonald's. It's only 1.5x the average pay of Chinese migrant workers (borderline slaves).

Edit: Spending thousands on a single game is retarded though, no matter how rich you are.

Yeah, honestly I keep forgetting how retarded high the pay is in the U.S. and the other western nations. Here the average wage is around 800 EUR I think so shit like randomly buying games on steam makes my head spin.

I really think there need to be some sort of consumer protections on this digital crap. People really shouldn't be spending thousands on digital items like this and developers should have enough decency not to take advantage of their consumers like this. I'd also like to see freemium games go the way of the dodo. Just something wrong about those games that drag out unless you spend money to speed them up unlock things to make the game easier.

If you have a problem with freemium games, there are 30+ years of other games to play instead.

Yes I'm also aware of this, but these games also fleece hundreds or thousands of dollars from fools. All for digital crap.
