All loot scaling to your level in an MMO is pretty stupid.

In Destiny, loot comes from "engrams" which are essentially goody bags of various quality that can be opened by an NPC in the game’s main town called the Cryptarch. The quality of the engrams dropped by enemies and the quality of the loot contained in them is a function of the level of the player’s character rather than the enemy dropping the loot, and nearly any enemy in the game can drop engrams.

So players figured out that the best way to get lots of engrams was to kill as many weak enemies as they could, as quickly as possible.

The "loot cave" is a spawn point for a group of low-level enemies in the game’s easiest zone. If the area the enemies are supposed to occupy is clear, and no players are in the immediate vicinity, they respawn in the cave and run out in a single-file line.

If you kill them very quickly, from across the map with a rifle, they respawn every six seconds, and if you continually shoot into the cave without interruption, this results in the highest number of kills per hour of any activity in the game, and therefore, the highest number of engrams.

Even if the "exploit" was fixed and harder enemies dropped more engrams commensurate with the time it takes to kill them, I see the plainly obvious cheesy way of getting ridiculous amounts of drops. Simply don't turn in anything while leveling (every MMO is shit easy while leveling) then turn in your entire stack when you hit max level. Suddenly hundreds/thousands of top tier weapons.

I believe that is what's referred to as "degenerate gameplay"

The word degenerate implies that there was gameplay to begin with.

You don't have to be original. You just have to not be as blatantly derivative as to seem unoriginal. Come up with systems that are best for your concept, and if those systems happen to resemble something else or you looked to others to help resolve problems, so be it. Do not come up with a concept to wrap around someone else's design. The latter seems to be the m.o. of AAA and indies.

Capcom dev says games must sell 2 million to get sequels, future Darkstalkers not likely

“If a game doesn't sell over 2 million copies, then we'd have to put the brakes on any plans for a sequel,” Ono said. “All that means is that we weren't popamole/Murican enough. And all we can do after that is to reflect on the experience, take what we can learn from it, and try to apply those lessons on some other title. And thus we came up with Resident Evil 6”

Fixed.

Maybe the writer meant "underrated"? Still kinda derp but doesn't sound as inane.

Guy beats 3 games at the same time, in under 1 hour.

Nice, shame he uses known glitches on Ocarina and Mario so you already know what to expect. Goldeneye gameplay was p. funny, though

*destroyed the grate and already sprinting down the tunnel*

NPC: "Good luck with that floor, James"

Two friends are playing Ocarina right now, I'll show them the video after they're done just to see the feeling of accomplishment disappear from their eyes.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
That video has a nice selection of weird games (Yay Parodius!) but if they really wanted to find weird games they should check out some of the stuff released in the 80s. Weird Dreams comes to mind, but that's more surreal than weird.
