Is it worth buying? Avadon was pretty boring and it looks like same shit.
avadon is vogel's version of bioware shit. this is very different.

Vogel progressively demystified the Shapers a little more in each game and he couldn't really make it pay off. They're just some corny D&D empire by G5 when they started off in G1 able to produce a pretty strange and alien impression. Vogel-brand gameplay isn't interesting enough to carry a game when the fiction is boring, so G1 is the best and they get weaker as you go.

I would agree- while I find Avadon boring and nothing special (to put it mildly), Geneforge (the first one) has sucked me in for over 50h. I haven't played other installments of the series, though.
