Was outpost 1 really that bad? I have some good memories of it, but I was young and stupid.

Oh, it was bad. Hugely buggy and unfinished. There were a lot of promised features (that even made their way into the game manual) that were never delivered on, or kinda-sorta-not-really added in later patches. Then what they had ended up being pretty mediocre - kinda shallow and not super fun. It basically got released in beta state.

I did the same when I was a kid. I mean, when you're young and you see a cool sci-fi strategy game by Sierra sitting in the bargain bin for six bucks, you don't stop to wonder why it's there if it came out less than a year ago.

It's really a shame, too. Such a cool game concept. I love the idea of a more SimCity-esque take on scifi, and super hard scifi at that.

Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat were in my opinion a better campaign than Dark Omen, wi more branchin an variety, as well as straight up mercenary work rather than plot driven stuff. Yeah Dark Omen engine were better though.

Myth 1 an 2 o course.

Still got a soft spot for Dawn of War: Winter Assault an DoW 2: Chaos Rising.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Original War. Fun sci-fi campaign with funny characters and you have to make decisions that will change your campaign.
