    Could have fooled me.

    Nigga please.

At any rate, feel free to move onto the other games on my list (and many others) when you feel like you actually can raise a point against the argument itself.

    Or don't. Whatever.

Does your list consist of ToEE and JA2? The first is based on 3rd Edition D&D, which is the antithesis of old-school, while the second isn't an RPG in my book at all. BG (and BG2), on the other hand, fulfills pretty much every wet dream of an old-school AD&D player. The only thing that's lousy in the IE games is the pathfinding, and certain people seem to go to great lengths while bashing these games for butthurt reasons.

    "Encounters were varied and good."

    Are you fukkin' kiddin' me?

They spammed the same encounters over and over again just like every other RPG ever fukki' created. But, hey, let's fight repeatedly fight repoetive enemies. Just look at that the let's play of one of the so called GB games.

"I wouldnt exactly say complex or deep but engaging and challenging."
Not complext or deep. Engaging is a matter of opinion ( I did find them fun... as a 10 year).

Challenging? HAHAHA L0L0L0LL0L HAHAHA! Anyone who finds the Gb games 'challenging' are a joke.

    Butthurt!

While I don't condone piracy, restricting BG:EE to one (and a shitty one at that) digital distribution channel is a crap idea.

I have this feeling that Beamdog/Overhaul severely overestimate their goodwill. People love Baldur's Gate, they don't love (a handful of) the developers. They're not even making a real (new) game. They could at least consider "threats of pirating" as a form of feedback regarding their choice of using Beamdog as an exclusive distributor. It's a shit decision and they're taking the backlash from it. Either re-evaluate or take the complaints like men.

Trent, should have focused on adding content that fleshes out the wilderness areas. Not another crappy companion.

It's ONLY going to be released on that shit Origin DRM thing?

Oh well, I won't be buying this. I now lost all interest.

Somehow Oster has a tremendous sense of entitlement and yet is simultaneously an insecure pussy. He started out pretending to be a bro, but the more this goes on, it's pretty clear they only give a shit about the money.

But I am confused. I swear they've said that via Beamdog wouldn't be the only way to get the game. Did I dream that?

Yeah, what the fuck, he feels entitled to our money and our respect when it's only released on Origin? Way to kill interest, ding dong.

I seriously want to rage with this bullcrap of an enhanced edition. He uses the name of Baldur's Gate to promote his shitty imaginary enhancement through his nonexistant company's digital distributor. Oh sorry i should say his shitty port to iPads.

Eh seriously, how on EARTH did this guy manage to get the "ok" to enhance Baldur's Gate from Atari and WotC? And they are fine with these "enhancements" he's making? Are we surrounded by morons in the gaming industry?

I so want to punch them...

    Wait, i'm already raging!

    All's cool ^^

In retrospect, we should have expected that Bioware's final frontier would be to allow the rape of their good old franchises.

I hope at least that they leave the good Neverwinter Nights expansions alone. Though they're actually still using NWN to recruit employees so who knows...

I guess he thought origin would be the logical choice for this bold remake of a classic because mass effect 3 is on origin and bioware made both of these games

Any info on the ipad controls? A tablet release is about the only reason i'd ever want to play this again. Playing BG whilst having a shit will be strangely poetic i feel.

It's a Beamdog-store exclusive, not Origin. Stop raging over made-up scenarios.

Yeah it isn't Origin, but it's still only one distribution channel for PC. In fact, I would personally have preferred Origin cuz at least I have one title there already (DA:O  ).

Since you are knowledgable about the subject and I bought an android smartphone with really big screen some days ago - is it working now, that I, say, put Torment on the Phone and can play through it from start to finish? Cause that would be better than playing some tactics games on my gameboy emulator on the phone. ;D

Hm, I am in the middle of some (Tutu) playthrough of BG1/2 anyway on my desktop, so I hoped either IWD or Torment would work. :( Guess I just have to wait a bit then, those guys do a good job.
