Well - I was given a quest to drive off the beast that is Lilura, and it seems my subtle flirtations did the job! I asked her a question on IWD2 stealth on Jul 7th and have yet to recieve a reply. Although she could just be busy.

I'm not sure about BG1, but BG2 original had random spawn triggers that scaled off of your level. The most famous example being the lich in the Spellhold library. I think I remember reading somewhere that BG1EE scales the random spawn numbers off of your level, but apart from the very beginning gibberlings, I haven't felt it all that much.

I'm not sure about BG1, but BG2 original had random spawn triggers that scaled off of your level. The most famous example being the lich in the Spellhold library. I think I remember reading somewhere that BG1EE scales the random spawn numbers off of your level, but apart from the very beginning gibberlings, I haven't felt it all that much.

The shadow temple is another oft-seen example of scaling in BG2. Agreed that if it happens in BG, it's fairly unnoticeable.

What I cannot wrap my head around this at all is how is it possible than after all these years they are STILL releasing patches for these so called Enchanced Editions... are these issues never fixed by Bioware or unofficial patches or are these caused by Trento’s “fixes” which ended up causing more problems by themselves?

Because cuckdog is the equivalent of a Malaysian Mazda mechanic.

Mazda has a bad reputation in Malaysia due to the sole distributorship being given to someone who turned out to be a crook. He ordered his mechanics to deliberately sabotage cars that came in for servicing to jack up the servicing revenue, which obviously gave Mazda cars a reputation for unreliability and constantly needing fixing. As a result, Mazda has no second hand value and is avoided like the plague. A pity, since they are good cars, and in Sydney, 4 out of 10 cars on the street are Mazdas.

The Planescape Torment EE is pretty good to be honest... but both of these abominations are simply so SO bad and to believe that a whole bunch of new gamers will consider this garbage to Baldur’s Gate is an atrocity with its steaming piece of shit NPCs, crayon drawn “cinematics” and vomiti inducing UI

PS:T EE is an amazing EE. As for the others, Curratum is absolutely right. The autism that Codexers exhibit when it comes to shit as benign as UI and animation changes is so never ceases to amaze me. The UI looks fine to me and the in game UI is preferable to the original versions, and who the fuck gives a shit about some minor animations? The upgrades to the resolution, the in game UI, and the QoL updates are worth paying an extra 5-10 bucks over the original version. Go ahead and down rate me, I don't give a fuck.

The problem with Beamdog's UI is not how pretty it is, it's how nonfunctional it is. The modders have done an incredible job with some UIs that really show how inadequate and impotent Beamdog's is. I always get my panties in a twist when I see a terrible UI that conveys no important information properly (*cough* PoE *cough*), like it has been designed by aliens who only have a vague understanding of what a UI is.

Haven’t played Baldur’s Gate in like 5 years, would you care to share some good UIs?

Here's a list of UI mods available for the EE. I find the Dragonspear++ mod to be quite useful.
