Re-read my post, they were advocating Catholicism not some vague Christian morality, without mentioning that many Christians would take exception at what you said here, point in case, self defense, there are more godless hippies out there preaching non violence that Christians ready to offer the other cheek.

I certainly indulge in a) and to be fair, b) pretty much comes with the territory, as does being called a "christtard", "christFag", etc. That's what the codex is all about.

I don't think you can seriously accuse any of my posts of being "shitposting". This thread for instance:

    http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...their-sex-crazed-agenda-in-class.72132/page-5

    Average Gnidrologist post:

    Average FretRider post:

Last of my posts in the thread:

    Last of Vaarna_Arne's post:

Which ones are "shitposting" and why? To be fair I did reply to Gnid in kind before putting him into ignore, but it is hardly unusual to do so here.

I don't hate everyone in the forums. Actually, arguing with people with extreme opposite stances on everything is part of the enjoyment one takes out of GD. Kind of weird that people so different all like the same games.

And I do post outside of GD and will continue to do so. Interest in games is what broght me here in the first place.

Is the codex Inquisitorial court done with me now?

No. Much of the OT is a historical narrative concerning the ancient Jews, in many segments of it God doesn't show up at all or very little(i.e: Maccabees). To claim everything they did is or should be morally acceptable to Christians is utter ignorance.

It is an ancient text, we don't know how much of it has been corrupted. Catholics don't claim the Bible is infallible, and they certainly don't claim so concerning the OT. NT takes precedence, as you said it yourself.

You speak of things you know little about.

It appears you have not read Paul's contribution to the NT. Do so. Christ himself ordered the apostles to be celibate in the gospel narratives, mind you.

    Catholicism is Christian morality.

Tell me another joke. This one was pretty good.

This shit should go into gd anyway, right? Why are you people blabbering about religion on site feedback?

More than you for sure, I will avoid a wall of Bible quotations just because everyone who read the Book knows how much you are wrong, besides your dismissal of OT proves that you know very little about the doctrine.

That's why most of them were married with children, quotation please.

Try to playing the true believer card here?

Thanks for admitting defeat so easily.

Selectively quoting the OT for passages that scandalize modern sensibilities and conflict with the teachings of Christ. Yay, what a solid argument against Christianity.

What dismissal? The OT is a very important part of our religious understanding and much of it contributed to current doctrines. It just so happens that we don't accept it to be infallible and we don't consider every word of it law. Specially the parts of it that conflict with the NT.

I think if undomersticarted snowmnswant to deconstruct Christianity they should focus on the New Testament. Intellectual honesty and all that.

I mean, most times it sounds like you really have a beef with the Jews.

The typical tactic that Khor used when put before the evidence, first complaining about out of context quotations and then discriminating between literal and metaphorical.
Glad to see that you recognized your inferiority here and run for the hills.
Proof that you are a posturing Kwnzanian Protestant, there's no conflict between the OT and the NT according to the Church.

Wikipedia is your source for the doctrine, it's doesn't get more fail that this.
It also proves that you have to Google that, and stopped at the first result.
Thanks for proving that you are completely clueless about the whole subject.

    Edit:

And you failed the reference too, from your link:
So the OT laws are compatible with Christianity.

You are welcome to provide links if you want. The wikipedia article is spot on and cites sources.

Seems to me you are afraid to admit you were ridiculously wrong in your argument.

No, the article is a non sequitur posted by you, again there is no contradiction between OT and NT according to the Church.
By the doctrine Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT, the old teachings are superseded and replaced by new, exactly as the prophets said, the contentious point is in not recognizing Jesus as the Messiah and continuing to uphold the old teachings in waiting for said Messiah.

However you are just a dirty American Atheist, read here:

I don't think you really know what you are talking about. The doctrine the Church holds on Mosaic Law and prophecies concerning Jesus as the Messiah have nothing to do with the Church condoning OT narratives concerning war, rape and else. The link I posted shows Aquinas stance and differentiation between moral, ceremonial, and judicial laws. His stance was what the Church adopted.

Got anything against the 10 commandments? I don't.

i.e: Polygamy is commonplace in the OT, but not so in the NT. The Church never allowed its practice.

I could shower you with links, but if you won't bother to read them it won't help.

My initial statement was that there is no contradiction between the OT and the NT according to the doctrine of the Church, and you contested that, are you still contesting it?

Proof that I am not a troll. If I were I would do just that. Either that or a "fire and brimstone" Calvinist alá Fred Phelps.

    Catholics are kind of boring.

You know there is. Advocation of violence versus Jesus non-violence, for instance. Polygamy versus monogamy(I already mentioned it). Divorce. Circumcision. Much else.

Most of that conflict concerns customs, social norms and events where the shit hit the fan and people got desperate. Google is your friend... there are basically two millenia worth of discussion on this very subject. Some heretics such as Marcianus tried to ditch the OT because of these contradictions. Church doctrine about it makes a lot of sense.

All of my previous trolling was outlandish. It is something I could never escape. If I ever try to troll again i won't escape it also.

(I won't. At least not in the codex. Current DU's laws means instaban and insta-nuking of everything. There is no more mercy for such a thing)

Doesn't really conflict with the Church stance on social and moral laws no longer practiced or condoned. Every modern Catholic theologian will also somewhat deny or excuse the importance of OT narratives that conflict Christ's teachings.

You are not arguing on good faith and you are obviously ignorant on the subject, but if you want to continue this discussion post it in gd and we will continue it there.
