Developer has been writing more dev logs for the new game. Most of them were technical without fancy screenshots, but the latest one has some images resembles to an actual game. http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/2021-03-15-development-toys/

Ostriv probably comes the closest so far to scratching the Banished itch. Keeps the peaceful serene feeling (well until all your cows starve to death during winter because you didn't stockpile enough hay during drying season) but adds some welcome complexities. Money, wages and an export/import system means you have incentive (well a necessity) to get an export economy rolling for cold hard cash (unless you want to tax the hell out of your citizens). Graphics are beautiful too. Other cool features include soil depletion over time (requiring you to rotate crops and eventually leave them fallow.. putting cows or horses on them is even better for soil regeneration) and it's historical 18th century Ukraine so some jobs are gender restricted (no female lumberjacks or millers).

Only downside is it has quite a ways to go until completion I suspect (but you'll still get plenty of juice out of it even now).
