Bullshit, I've beaten act 2 with a 2h barb with act 1 gear. Only Belial was rough but you're supposed to have access to act 2 gear for him anyway.

You probably haven't really tried it because everyone qqs how hard it is. Or you have no idea how good act 1 gear can get. Mine was less than average, you can probably finish the game in good act 1 gear.

What were your stats when you fought Belial?

I know enough to know that one can make 250-350k an hour selling trash from farming chamber of suffering. That if a weapon drops, even rares, it goes straight to a NPC. That a 900 dps 2h is probably the highest that can drop in act 1 and sure, that is enough for act 2 but no rational person is going to farm chamber for days, even weeks hoping for such when you can just buy a 1200 dps 2h for just 50k. That Tal Rasha's set pieces can drop in act 1, and some other valuable legendary/set accessories but you can also farm chamber for a week and not see one legendary.

I also know enough that a 30k hp, 7k armor, 600 (buffed) resists, 10k DPS barb can finish act 2, but will have to skip most lacuni/snake elite packs, and I can't imagine myself farming chamber for days and reaching those numbers without buying anything from the AH.

It's doable, sure. Just be extremely lucky and farm act 1 for a week (or two) straight.

If you were a wizard pre-nerf? sure.

It is doable solo, maybe, but not in an online (trololo) party where the white-mobs will two shot you and life as a melee character becomes one of endless suffering (in a sea of repair bills).

They released a hotfix removing the mob's damage scaling with the player count yesterday.

Iirc close to 6k armor with tough as nails, 29k hp around 300-350 resists (before shout) and around 20k dps (810 dps 2h). 70% of the champions melt in earthquake with berserk and the rest just require you to do the combo 2-3 times.
Requires farming is not the same as impossible. Also, you might wanna look closer at ah, act 1 armor can be really good. Seen plenty of "overgeared" players using 2-3 pieces of act 1 gear.

Gear is a bit better but sword is 100 less dps so compensates. Those mobs even take reduced dmg during the spin.

While it could be that the SUPEREXPLOITGATE OMG was patched out, this is pretty much the case after every more or less major patch in WoW already - you have a few days of spam/farm/hack bots not doing anything, then they're suddenly all back, farming/spamming/hacking like nothing happened.

They're apparently doing a huge Rollback on the ASIA realm to remove all the dupes, it's apparently still down xD

God damn, that is some shitty dupe prevention Blizzard has. Just trade shit, exit game, get dupes? What was that thing about polish that Blizzard was supposed to be good at? It's like they didn't even bother QAing it at all.

Compared to the only MMO I have played (GW), at least there it required a very specific packet forgery, took 5 years to discover, and only led to gimped items without mods that clearly indicated who duped it in the item description.

Stupid journalist forgets the more obvious reason: Blizzard automatically flags posts with phrases like "stolen account", "hacked", etc, and either ghosts the post or waits for a mod to approve it. It's not like they need an army of neckbeards sitting around monitoring forums to do that stuff in the split second before other people see it. Even if all hacks suddenly stopped, you would see a lot of postings from people who just now realized their account had been hacked or people who were reposting again.

Who gives a fuck about guild wars though, this game is big business. people have been waiting years to hammer the shit out of this game and they absolutely have.

Blizzard now says that you aren't allowed to use the RMAH without an authenticator. Must pay Blizzard money to have access to a place where you pay Blizzard money, because they don't trust themselves to secure your account.

This is too ridiculous for me to even joke about at this point.

Thanks for the fix, Blizzard. Now instead of an unsightly error 37 I'll just be stuck in limbo forever.

With how many retards aren't securing their accounts, allowing RMAH access without an authenticator (which is free, either mobile or winauth) is inviting disaster.
