that's not the kind of music I can get my dicking on to (and I suspect whoever I'm dicking would not find it conducive to the activity either)

but clicking around from there, tokimonsta and samiyam have good stuff

Huh. Sounds more like Pan Sonic than the Alva Noto I'm used to (Xerrox etc).

My ragga experience has been mostly on the jungle side. Check "Reminiscence Of A Rudeboy" by Curious.

That tape rarely left my car for years. Another LA junglist who served my ragga needs well is R.A.W.

Also, Joanna Newsom gives me a painful chubby. Not big on that remix, though. Her voice sounds much better squirming around in a bed of acoustic strings. The way Jesus intended.

Most probably it's because univrs is a continuation of unitxt, not the xerrox series.

Definately check out Clubroot if you like Distance. They're probably the only two good dubstep guys whose music is something more than just about quelling the desire for bass heavy music whilst drunk (yeah there are others, but none that have the constant quality that those two have). I would describe them more as Darkstep or droning bass heavy IDM. I agree the other track isn't all that, I just posted it because it was the first instance of Acid and Dubstep combined that I've ever heard, kind of a proto Dubstep if made by AFX.

Also check in on Rinse's podcast section for Distance's shows, the first hour is all about new talent on the scene.

I wouldn't call Distance consistent, My Demons was pretty boring.
