  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Any thread on the Codex turns into a politicized wankfest. I can't blame any dev for staying away.

I must admit I have always found it hilarious a forum that keeps referring to so called golden age of both gaming and a civilization, an online place that seems to revere culture, highbrow, elitist works act like a bunch of rabid, illiterate, prepubescent monkeys.

Things are bound to change, though, in 10 years or so when the current userbase grows old enough to not be able to hide the misery that is their life and embrace what they truly are.

Everything will be alright.

But is misery correlated to Codex post count?

Because it's fun to argue online, same reason we like vidyagaems.

The rest, my dear...the rest is memes.

I suppose there might have been some people who thought this back in the early-to-mid 00s. Never happened.

And yet more devs (even 'famous' ones like Chris Avellone, Tim Caine et al) post here than any other forum I know.
A lot more devs post on Something Awful.

That said, I will take quality over quantity.

Most personality types simply don't post on forums anyway.
