Any idea when we can expect the next version?

I registered the game last Saturday, and have found quite a few bugs that still need to be squashed. Many have been mentioned on this board, and I sent some others I found directly to mat@zero-sum.com (but never heard a response...are you receiving emails Mat?). So far I've been to Ironwood, Crossing's East, Land's End, and the Academy, and it seems like every new town has a new bug or two waiting as well. None are very major, although a couple are downright annoying, and the sheer quantity I'm finding (almost 10 so far in about 15 hours of gameplay) really detracts from the realism of the game, which is its biggest strength, IMO.

I find the discussions on what additions or changes should be made to the game interesting, but I hope a high priority is still being placed on improving the quality of the current game. Some of us like the game pretty much as it is, and want to enjoy it without the distraction of scripting and quest anomalies.

Thanks!

We are still working on fixing bugs for this version of the game. Some of the bugs may never get fixed, but there's no reason we can't track down almost all of the scripting issues. Please keep posting and sending us emails about problems. They will be addressed! :)

In fact, have you checked the latest versions? Mat has probably done work on at least a few of the issues you've had. He's slower than normal about responding because he's swamped with issues and just started a new job. I'll probably start doing some work myself in the near future.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Is there a version newer than 1.41? I downloaded the complete 1.41 game last week, and have been running that. If there are newer patches available, let me know.

Since I won't expect a reply from Mat, I'll ask one of the questions I had for him here (spoilers about Ironwood and Crossing's East follow).

In Crossing's East, I rescued the Ironwood Mayor's daughter, and escorted her back to Ironwood. Upon our return, she tells me that she wants to be alone with her father, who asks me to come back tomorrow since he wants to talk to me some more.

When I come back later, both the father and daughter are gone, and there are two blood splotches on the floor; I couldn't find them anywhere. Maybe their reunion resulted in a big blood bath? LOL. I tried reloading this and trying again, going right back into the room after being dismissed, in which case the daughter is still there and still asks to be alone, but her father has been replaced by a blood splotch on the floor. I guess she killed him first. ;)

My question is, is there anything more to this quest? I would really like to know because it took me FOREVER to finally notice the trapdoor where the daughter was being held, and I'd like to make sure I get everything out of this that I can.

Thanks for your help...

doh, I thought I got back to you. The feedback was great. Like CP said I've been swamped both with Prelude and ZSS issues and my new location and job.

The next version is at least a week away, possibly two.

(spoiler about mayors daughter)

Anyhow, you've about reached the end of that quest although it definitely needs some improvement, the daughter does kill the father.

Good grief, I was kidding about the bloodbath. =) Now I really want to know more...why was she kidnapped? Was it really a kidnapping? Who were the people who were holding her? What happened to the boyfriend?

Don't tell me, I don't want to know here; I'm just looking forward to this getting fleshed out in a future fix (before continuing on I loaded an earlier save-game so I can come back to this if it gets improved).

Thanks for your diligence on this stuff!
