I don't know if a novel, but could be made into a movie surely.

There have been movies about, say, writers, where they don't just write on-screen the whole time. I guess it's about taking all the antics these two bozos did/wrote about and explore that, not necessarily by having them writing online posts/blogs. You could make Cleve a rambling schizo that spouts out loud his inane doctrine in his every day life (he has a common day job of course - have you seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? the way Stiller's character 'daydreams' think about the failed attempt to build a bunker, he thinks he has titanium bones and ends up in hospital, pitching his Grimoire project to secure funding, etc, etc...) Then the lawyer part is easy, most funny bits can be portrayed over phone calls and meetings.

Maybe David Gaider could write it?

It would quicly turn into a softcore porno extravaganza. But he could actually give Cleve advice on the design of certain Grimoire monsters...

I'm somewhat familiar with legal work. This guy probably charged 25 hours to draft the letter to rpgcodex as 'pro-bono'. A certain amount of pro-bono work is required to maintain a lawyer's standing. From wiki

Lawyers in the United States are recommended under American Bar Association (ABA) ethical rules to contribute at least fifty hours of pro bono service per year(s).

There's also requirements by state and on a firm-by-firm basis.

If I had to do pro-bono. You better believe it'd be for video games. That's hardly work at all. I think this will nearly the last we hear of Mr. Fussypants for the next year or so.
