Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
So uh, I have a confession.

After my 150+ hours in Underrail I finally decided to put more time into AoD over the last few days and uh, wow.

I think I prefer it to Underrail.

Initially I didn't like the game too much. I started as a Loremaster and the sea of names got lost somewhere in my head. I wasn't really sure how much I could do in the game or how great certain elements are. I put the game down in Maadoran for a few weeks until last week when I picked it up again.

I persevered with the same character and by the time I got to the end of my (totally clueless & incompetent) Loremaster playthrough I was fully intrigued. I got the Aurelian NWO ending and I wanted more. (Although I think it may have bugged as it didn't show me what happened to the characters of the world I had interacted with, i.e. tower demon. Maybe this was intentional due to, y'know, NWO.)

Rolled a talking focused Praetor straight after the Loremaster playthrough finished. The initial Praetor questline in Teron really impressed me, like I was actually using my talking skills to really screw people over and achieve my goals. Another stand out moment for me was Meru's "ascension". Fantastic writing that really left me with a sense of dread, despite the fact I had no real idea who Balzaar was.

Though I'm yet to actually put much thought or time into combat, think I'll correct that with an IG playthrough next. :D

Not much point to this post, I guess just wanted to gush about the game and how impressed I am by the choice & consequences as well as replayability.

A+ :incline:
