In the waning years of the Third Era of Tamriel, a prisoner born on a certain day to uncertain parents was sent under guard, without explanation, to Morrowind, ignorant of the role he was to play in that nation's history...

Each Event is preceeded By Prophecy. But without the hero, there is no Event.

-The Underking

Intro:
:sound of 80's synth-pop approaching...:

Azura.jpg

Where have all the good men gone
and where are all the gods?
Where's the streetwise Hercules to fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss
and I turn
and I dream of what I need.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
He's gotta be strong
and he's gotta be fast

And he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light.
He's gotta be sure
and it's gotta be soon

And he's gotta be larger than life!
larger than life.
Somewhere after midnight
in my wildest fantasy

Somewhere just beyond my reach
there's someone reaching back for me.
Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat

It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
He's gotta be strong
and he's gotta be fast

And he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light.
He's gotta be sure
and it's gotta be soon

And he's gotta be larger than life.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above

Out where the lightning splits the sea

I could swear there is someone
somewhere
watching me.
Through the wind
and the chill
and the rain
And the storm
and the flood
I can feel his approach like a fire in my blood.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light.
He's gotta be sure
and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life.
I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night...

What in the fuc...

Azura.jpg

Welcome to Tamriel, you have been ressurected by King of Worms to fulfill your destiny. You must have many questions but for now all you need to know is that your identity must be kept secret. You must never tell anyone about what you have done for Border Princess or XVII century Poland.

Jarema.jpg

Where the hell Am I? And who the fuck are you?

Azura.jpg

... They have taken you from the Imperial city prison, first by carriage, and now by boat. To the east, to Morrowind. Fear not for I am watchful – you have been chosen.

Chapter 1 – I Ain't Even Mad

1.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

My... my name is Jarema.

2.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

So, it was not just a dream...

2.jpg

3.jpg

5.jpg

We follow the guard.

6.jpg

7.jpg

8.jpg

9.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Damn, my eyes. How long was I on this ship?

10.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

To be honest, I came from...

Azura.jpg

...your identity must be kept secret. You must never tell anyone about what you have done for Border Princess or XVII century Poland...

Jaremasmall.jpg

... I came from Skyrim.

11.jpg

Here's my passport...

12.jpg

13.jpg

14.jpg

Finally someones is saying something about our release...

15.jpg

We decided to generate cumston class and this is whas skills we've chosen.

16.jpg

17.jpg

Jarema is not used to magic so we decided to take Apprentice sign which gives us more mana but makes us less resistant to magic.

18.jpg

19.jpg

And those are personal documents of Jarema now.

20.jpg

We take our ID and prepare to move along...

21.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Sure, I will...

22.jpg

But first I will close those doors because my Polack senses are tingling...

23.jpg

Ah yes, plenty of valuables and no one to notices us taking them.

24.jpg

I will need this dagger...

25.jpg

Actually. I will need everything from this table.

26.jpg

Hmm, a note.

27.jpg

Usless to me.

28.jpg

Food may come in handy though.

29.jpg

This book seems valuable...

30.jpg

Fuck it. I will just take everything. This chest is closed though. But I think I've found a lockpick on a table...

31.jpg

32.jpg

31 gold coins. I will take them.

33.jpg

There is also food in those baskets. I will better take it with me

34.jpg

Ok, let's find this Sellus Gravius guy.

35.jpg

36.jpg

Strange, my Polack senses are tingling again... There was valuable ring in this barrel.

37.jpg

There was magical healing ring in the barrel but I forgot to take screenshot. Let us continue anyway.

38.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Sellus Gravius? I was told to speak with you...

sgravius.jpg

First, let me take your identification papers. Thank you. Word of your arrival only reached me yesterday. I am Sellus Gravius. But my background is not important. I'm here to welcome you to Morrowind.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I'm not even sure why I am here to be honest.

sgravius.jpg

I don't know why you're here. Or why you were released from prison and shipped here. But your authorization comes directly from Emperor Uriel Septim VII himself. And I don't need to know any more than that. When you leave this office, you are free. But before you go, I have instruction on your duties. Instructions from the Emperor. So pay careful attention.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Duties? What duties?

sgravius.jpg

This package came with the news of your arrival. You are to take it to Caius Cosades, in the town of Balmora. Go to the South Wall Cornerclub, and ask for Caius cosades – they'll know where to find him. Serve him as you would serve the Emperor himself. I also have a letter for you, and disbursal to your name.

Sellus Gravius gave us 87 gold coins and package for this Caius Cosades person.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Thank you. Well, I'll be gone then.

39.jpg

Unfortunately we can't steal anything from here since Sellus is here. We have to continue.

40.jpg

Well, I'm free now but I have no idea what to do next. Let's approach someone and ask him some questions...

1.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Hey, you, with pointy ears. Hello there whatever you are.

fargoth.jpg

Are you the one that boat dropped off? Odd to see a boat arrive at that time of the day. Hope the Imperials treated you okay. I swear they took my ring.

Jaremasmall.jpg

A ring?

fargoth.jpg

I swar one of the Guard has it. I had it last week before they weekly "Let's shake down Fargoth" ritual. An engraved healing ring, family heirloom of mine. You haven't seen it have you?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Actually, I have this ugly piece of junk right here. You can have it.

fargoth.jpg

You found it! Amazing! Thank you, thank you! You are now my favorite friend. I'll be sure to tell the others, especially my friend Arille who runs the tradehouse here. Go see him, he'll be happy to see you now!

Jaremasmall.jpg

Getting on the good side of merchants is always good thing to do.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Now, let's ask around for more informations...

vodunius.jpg

Yes? What do you want? If you're looking to get out of Seyda Neen, I'll be happy to give you a little advice.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Actually, I need to get to Balmora and find man called Caius Cosades.

vodunius.jpg

New here? Take the silt strider to Vivec of Balmora. Fast and cheap. No trouble with wild animals and smugglers. And bandits. And Outlaws. Go see Darvame Hleran over at the strider port, over the bridge and cast along the water. And tell her Vodunius Nuccius send you.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Will do good sir. Now, let's look around for this tradehouse...

3.jpg

Ah yes, here it is.

4.jpg

5.jpg

We've sold all the crap we looted earlier and earned 212 gold coins.

6.jpg

With our new gained wealth we bought iron sabre, iron cuirass, iron greaves and two iron gauntlets for Jarema.

7.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Oh, yes. Now I'm ready to rock. Maybe it won't be all that bad in here. Maybe Azura, sending me here, gave me another chance to crush my enemies and impale more shit!

Chapter 2 - Land of Opportunity

Jaremasmall.jpg

It seems this tradehouse have two levels, let's see what we can find on second one.

1.jpg

2.jpg

3.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Hrisskar, this name seems familliar. Maybe he's got something to do with that note I found in census office...

hrisskar.jpg

You look like you could use a friend, outlander. Perphaps I can be your friend. I'd like you to help me recover some gold.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Recover some gold?

hrisskar.jpg

That's right. See, I had a bad run of luck playing Nine-holes, and lost a bit of money. Normally, Id' be fine. We can usually keep some gold in our pockets just
from the money the locals pay us for... protection. But I know some of them are holding out on me, especially that little fetcher Fargoth. He's come up light the past couple of weeks when I've shaken him down. I know he's stashing it somwhere. I'd like you to find Fargoth's hiding place. I know the little fetcher's got one somwhere in town. Just not sure where yet. I've already gone through his whole house, so I know he's not hiding it there. I'd like you to find out where he's stashing his gold. If you can, I'll give you a share of the wealth. Are you up for it?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Sure, I'll look into it when I find the time.

hrisskar.jpg

Excellent. Here;s what I want you to do. I'm not sure where go goes, but I know he wanders around town at night. Watch his movements. The best vantage point in on top of the lighthouse south of town. That will give you a nice view of all of Seyda Neen. If you keep an eye on where he goes, I'm sure you'll be able to figure out where he's hiding that gold.

4.jpg

Well, it's not night yet so let's look around some more.

5.jpg

elone.jpg

That's all right, Jarema. You're not interrupting anything important. What can I do for you? Are you looking for some specific plane in Seyda Neen? Or just looking for a little advice?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Actually, I'd like to learn a little bit more about Balmora.

elone.jpg

Balmora is the district seat of House Hlaalu, and the largest settlement on Vvardenfell after Vivec city. Good roads lead north from here to Balmora, passing
through Fort Pelagiad and Pelagiad village. From Balmora, roads lead north to Ald'ruhn through the town of Caldera. Maybe I'd better write down the directions to Balmora for you. It's a long walk, and a little cofusing.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Thank you. What's this Vivec city you are talking about?

elone.jpg

Vivec city is south on the road from Pelagiad, Vivec is the largest settlement on Vvardenfell, and one of the largest cities in the East. Built on Norvayn Bay,
completely surrounded by water, the city itself is a group of giant town-sized buildings called 'cantons'. The High Fane and the palace of Vivec are visited by
hundreds of tourists and pilgrims daily. Outlanders mostly confine themselves to the Foreign Canton, while natives live, work, and shop in the Great House compounds and residential cantons.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Enough about vivec. What about local rumors, heard something lately?

elone.jpg

Locals are outraged by taxation here. These Imperial tax collectors have really started to get on everyone's nerves. Haven't seen the local one in a while,
though... not that anyone is complaining.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Thank you very much, see you later alligator.

elone.jpg

In a while crocodille.

6.jpg

I think that's it for this tradehouse. Let's go outside.

7.jpg

8.jpg

Everyone talks about missing tax collector. Maybe it will be worth my while too look into this matter.

9.jpg

And I could use a little stroll to be honest.

24.jpg

Balmora is to the east, let's scout this road a little before we consider taking this siltstirder thingy.

10.jpg

11.jpg

I learned a thing or two about alchemy during my days in Border Princes, I will collect local mushrooms on my way.

12.jpg

Hey, look, a cave! Let's take a look inside.

13.jpg

It's so dark I can barely see anything but I think I'm not welcome here...

14.jpg

BOW TO THE POWER OF JAREMA, BITCH!

15.jpg

I've cut you down like dirty cossack!

16.jpg

Angry bitch had some gold, netch leather boots...

17.jpg

And a slaver key.

18.jpg

Let's continue or trail of destruction.

19.jpg

Damn, I can't see shit in here. I need a torch. I better go back to Arille Tradehouse and buy one.

20.jpg

Arille didn't had any torches. We sold the crud angry bitch had and earned ourselves 5 gold coins.

21.jpg

I think I saw a torch in census office.

22.jpg

Yeah, here it is. I will take it.

23.jpg

Didn't helped much. I still can't see shit...

01.jpg

Seems like we will have to fight in the dark.

02.jpg

Goddamn mage, I'm allergic to offensive magic!

03.jpg

Ha, dodged yours fireball.

04.jpg

Now, prepare to be cut down by Jarema's sabre!

05.jpg

06.jpg

07.jpg

08.jpg

He had only useless crap.

09.jpg

More company!

010.jpg

We decided to use Jarema's fake nord racial ability "Woad" which gives us more armor.

011.jpg

Die, bitch!

012.jpg

Bitchslapped!

013.jpg

Only valuable item she had was a lockpick.

014.jpg

Maybe they hid their valuables in this chest.

015.jpg

There was a steel longsword inside.

016.jpg

But Sabre is much more Jarema-like.

017.jpg

There must be something more worth my while than few gold coins and a lockpick...

018.jpg

Moonsugar... Goddamn junkies! But I will take it.

019.jpg

Skooma is nothing but troubles but maybe we will be able to sell it to someone.

020.jpg

Then we've found more random crap like alchemy indegridients, alcohol and one potion of restore willpower which we will sell.

021.jpg

Locked... maybe the key I've found will unlock it...

022.jpg

Here we go.

023.jpg

This cavern is filled with water. I will have to watch out for my torch.

024.jpg

025.jpg

Strangely, it's easier to see underwater. What a strange world.

026.jpg

027.jpg

More coins for me to pick up. Not much else though...

028.jpg

SKAVEN!

029.jpg

Die you filthy bastard!

030.jpg

I will even take your meat. It might prove useful in alchemy.

031.jpg

Killing few Dark elves and a rat gave us some much needed practice in using long blades.

032.jpg

Then we picked up few mushrooms growing here and continued our exploration.

033.jpg

034.jpg

Then we falled into water and our torched went down. Well, bummer.

035.jpg

But we've found skeleton with some gold coins and alchemy indegridient.

036.jpg

My good torch went out and I can't see shit with this door torch from census office. I will have to go back to tradehouse and see if they sell any light spells.

037.jpg

I guess we won't be seeling our drugs to Arille...

038.jpg

We will put our drugs here.

039.jpg

No light spell.

040.jpg

But at least I can drop off some loot I picked up in junkie cave.

041.jpg

Healing spell might be useful.

042.jpg

Unfortunately I'm not used to this magic stuff and casting this spell may prove difficult.

043.jpg

Like so.

044.jpg

But we've managed to cast in on our second try and Jarema is healed.

045.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Hmm... It's getting dark. Maybe I should consider looking into this Fargoth's hidden treasure case.

046.jpg

Yeah, let's climb the lighthouse and wait till the night comes.

047.jpg

048.jpg

Hmm, there's stuff here and nobody watching over it.

049.jpg

Don't mind if I do. Let's also take a look at this book here.

050.jpg

It's a skill book which improved out unarmoured skill. We will take it with us because it's very valuable.

051.jpg

Ok, now all I have to do is make myself confortable and wait till the night comes.

052.jpg

Ah yes, I can see you you elven bastard.

053.jpg

What are you doing near this swampy area?

054.jpg

055.jpg

He was fooling around near tree stump. Let's investigate.

056.jpg

057.jpg

Ahh yes, so here you've been hiding your shit. Silly elf. I will take it.

058.jpg

Together with your useless healing ring.

059.jpg

Now, let's report our sucess to Hrisskar.

060.jpg

Chapter 3 – Dark Side of Balmora

1.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I think I'm done here. I will take a little rest and then I shall finally go to Balmora.

2.jpg

We've slept till the morning in Arille's Tradehouse and now we are finally ready to go to Balmora.

3.jpg

I think people here use this creatures as means of transportation. Let's take a closer look.

4.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Vodunius Nuccius send me...

slitstireder.jpg

Oh, yes. He steers business my way, and I do him a little favor now and then. Poor fellow. I don't think he's happy here in Morrowind.

Jaremasmall.jpg

What's this... creature there?

slitstireder.jpg

Silt strider's carry passangers and cargo between settlements on Vvardenfell. Fares depend on distance to be traveled. Silt striders are giant insects. A compartment for passengers and cargo is hollowed from the creature's shell; the driver directs the beast by directly manipulating exposed organs and tissues. Silt striders travel Between Ald'ruhn, Balmora, Seyda Neen, Suran, Gnisis, Khuul, Molag Mar, Maar Gan, and North Landning Near Vivec.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I would like you to take me to Balmora.

5.jpg

This trip will cost us 14 gold coins.

6.jpg

BLAM! And we are there. There is no other fast travel option in Morrowind than Silt striders, boats or teleportation.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Let's take a look around this place.

7.jpg

We have some clubs here but the one we are looking for has "southern wall" or something in name.

Jaremasmall.jpg

It looks like it's trading center of the town. Shops are all around. There is even one shop run by Khajiit to my left.

9.jpg

Ra'virr... sounds like a junkie to me. Let's try to sell him some of our Skooma

Jaremasmall.jpg

Hey, kitty, wanna buy some drugs?

10.jpg

He sure does. Let's sell him our skooma first.

11.jpg

He will only pay us 421 gold coins for our two bottles of Skooma. Cheap bastard. But selling him skooma and some moon sugar increased our mercantile skill to level 6.

12.jpg

Doing business with this junkie gained us some gold. Let's see if we can buy better weapon or armor.

13.jpg

14.jpg

15.jpg

Only thing that Meldor has and is any use to use are those Iron boots. We shall buy them and pay 20 gold coins for them.

16.jpg

Then we sold him our old boots for 5 gold coins and it increased our Mercantile to 7.

17.jpg

The Razor Hole... sounds like a weapon trader.

18.jpg

19.jpg

I will buy this silver sword good sir. In case I ran into some creatures immune to iron.

We payed the full price of 160 gold coins.

20.jpg

Here it is. We are supposed to ask for Caius Cosades here.

21.jpg

22.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Ask the Owner? Well, I will have to look for him then.

23.jpg

Owner was nowhere to be found in main hall so we decided to look for him upstairs.

24.jpg

25.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I'm looking for Caius Cosades, a middle aged guy...

26.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Thank you kind sir, I will look for him immidiately.

27.jpg

28.jpg

29.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Are you Caius Cosades?

caius.jpg

What? Yes. I'm Caius Cosades. But, what do you mean, you were told to "Report to Caius Cosades" What are you talking about?

Jaremasmall.jpg

My name is Jarema and I've been told to report to you and deliver a package.

caius.jpg

[Intelligence] So. You say your name is Jarema, and you've been told to report to me and deliver a package. Perhaps you'll let me loot at it?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Sure, here it is.

caius.jpg

Yes. Very interesting. So. It says here the Emperor wants me to mentor you. And that means you'll be following my orders. Are you ready to trust me and to follor my orders, Jarema?

Jaremasmall.jpg

I don't think I have any other choice.

caius.jpg

Good. Welcome to the service, novice Jarema. You are now a member of the Imperial Blades. We're the Emperor's hidden eyes and ears in the provinces. We watch the Emperor's enemies. We look for opportunities. We make reports. And, when the Emperor commands, we obey.

I'm the Imperial Spymaster for Morrowind. And, since I'm the ranking Blades agent in morrowind, you report to me. Follow my orders, obey our rules, and you'll do fine. You can use my bed if you need to rest, but leave my personal stuff alone unless I say otherwise. If you like, you can improve your modest skills with our Blades Trainers now. Or if you're in a hurry, I can give you orders right away. But don't forget to visit the Blades Trainers.

Jaremasmall.jpg

What orders are you talking about?

caius.jpg

First thing, pilgrim. You're new. And you look it. Here's 200 drakes. Go get yourself a decent weapon. Or Armor. Or a spell. And second thing... you need a cover identity. Around here, 'freelance adventurer' is a common profession. Sign on with the Fighters Guild, or Mages Guild, or Imperial cult, or Imperial legion, advance in ranks, gain skill and experience. Or go out on your own, look for freelance work, or trouble. Then, when you're ready, come back, and I'll have order for you.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Allright old man. I will look for some work and then I'll be back for my... orders.

1.jpg

I guess our Caius friend here would be interested in the rest of my moon sugar. Too bad I can't sell it to him. Well, let's look around for a job and training.

2.jpg

Fighters Guild sounds like fun. Let's see if they offer some training and maybe have a job or two for me.

3.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

My name is Jarema. I seek training.

4.jpg

5.jpg

We advanced our Long Blade skill to 41.

6.jpg

7.jpg

And then we took lessons in using heavy armor which made us broke again.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Maybe someone here will have a job for me so I can earn some money for more training.

8.jpg

eydis.jpg

Well, speak up, Nord. What do you want? Are you here to join the Fighters Guild?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Sure, why not. I need some money

eydis.jpg

You look like you could take care of yourself. Before I sign you up, you might want to loot at Fighters Guild Charter. Are you ready to sign up now?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Just sign me up already.

eydis.jpg

You are now Jarema the Associate in the Fighters Guild. Work hard, follow orders, and you'll do just fine. Seek me out if you feel you are ready for advancement.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Do you have any job for me?

eydis.jpg

I have a very simple contract to end an infestation of cave rats. You might be able to handle it.

Go to Drarayne Thelas' house. It's here in Balmora, along the river on the east side. Ask her where the rats are coming from. Kill the rats and get your payment from Drarayne Thelas. Report back to me once you've taken care of this.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I'll be back when I'm done with those rats.

9.jpg

But first we will take some free supplies from figther guild's supply chest.

23.jpg

We will take potions of restore health and stamina. We will also take repair hammers to take care of our equipment.

10.jpg

Now let's look for those cave rats.

24.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I think it's here. Let's look if enyone's in.

11.jpg

thelas.jpg

Are you the one they sent to take care of the cave rats?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Yup, that's me. Jarema Wiśniowiecki, at your service.

thelas.jpg

These rats are such a nuisance! I'm worried they'll eat all of my pillows. You like pillows, don't you, Jarema? Anyway, I've got one trapped in my bedroom here, and the other two are in my storage area upstairs. Rats, that is... not pillows. Here's the key for that door. There are at least three these beasts. I hope they haven't gotten into my good pillows...

12.jpg

Don't worry my lady. I will take care of those rats.

13.jpg

DIE SKAVEN!

14.jpg

SPLAT!

15.jpg

Now, let's look upstairs...

16.jpg

AW SHIT! I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!

17.jpg

SWING AT RANDOM! SWING AT RANDOM!

18.jpg

I think I'v got them. Now, I must heal myself with a spell.

19.jpg

Yeah, they are dead.

20.jpg

Well, I'm allready here so I can just take a look around.

21.jpg

We've found few gold coins, some alchemy stuff and food. Of course we stole everything like a true hero.

22.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Now, let's go back to Eydis Fire-Eye.

eydis.jpg

So you killed the rats, Jarema? Not bad... for you. The Fighter Guilds recognizes you, Jarema. You are now Jarema the Apprentice. You ready for more orders?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Like I said, I need the money so just give me another job.

eydis.jpg

A local egg mine has problems with egg poachers. And you're going to solve those problems. Yes. Egg pochaers. May sound silly, but those kwama eggs are among the few things worth exporting from this nasty little province. Dram Bero, the ownner of Shulk Egg Mine, wants to make an example of these thieves to keep other miners from getting funny ideas. The egg poachers, Sevilo Othan and Daynila Valas, are formers egg miners, and long-time local troublemakers. You can handle that, can't you? Report back when the poachers are dead.

Jaremasmall.jpg

How I will find this Shulk Egg Mine?

eydis.jpg

The mine is a short distance southwest of Balmora, in the bluffs west of the Odai River. The old suspension bridge across the Odai is just southeast of the mine entrance. Follow the river south of Balmora untill you see the bridge overhead. You're not afraid of a little swim, are you?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Not a problem, just go southwest and kill egg poachers. Got it.

1.jpg

Fighters Guild blacksmith have some gear that is superior to what we have now. We will spend some coin to make a small upgrade.

2.jpg

We bought few parts of steel plate mail set.

3.jpg

And it brought our armor rating to a whooping 14.

4.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Ok, just go southwest and follow river Odai. Easy enough.

5.jpg

It's getting dark. I will better rest a bit and move along tomorrow morning.

6.jpg

Allright, let's find us some egg poachers now.

7.jpg

[Perception] Two man standing near the fire. Let's ask them few questions.

8.jpg

9.jpg

10.jpg

So, miners suspect that egg poachers are hiding inside the mine. Let's investigate.

11.jpg

Damn, it's dark in here. Good thing that I have my torch with me.

12.jpg

I will collect few eggs for myself. They might by useful if I get my hands on alchemy equipment.

13.jpg

A lot of local fauna here. Fortunately, those creatures don't seem to be aggresive.

14.jpg

Ah shit. It bit my leg! KILL IT!

15.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

FUCK! MY TORCH! I CAN'T SEE! SWING AT RANDOM! SWING AT RANDOM!

16.jpg

I think I also killed Kwama Worker by accident. Well, whatever.

17.jpg

Ok, I'm done with this torch business. Let's go back to Mages Guild and see if they sell light spells.

18.jpg

19.jpg

Nobody here teaches light spell. Let's teleport to different guild to check there.

20.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

It looks like I foolishly spent last of my coins and can't afford light spell now. Let's see if there is something for us to... aquire here.

21.jpg

Hm, there is room full of crates and no one to see me...

22.jpg

We've stolen whole bunch of alchemical indegridients and one "expensive" ring.

23.jpg

Let's check upstairs.

24.jpg

Now we're taking. I can make some potions to sell now!

25.jpg

PUT IT IN A BAG!

26.jpg

We've made metric shitton of restore fatigue potions and leveled up our alchemy.

27.jpg

Then we've sold first batch of potions to nearby mage merchant for 300 elder bucks.

28.jpg

Now we can afford light spell.

29.jpg

We will also learn "Recall" which is used to teleport around. Unfortunately it's useless without "Mark" spell but we'll get that later.

30.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Teleport me back to Balmora, dear lady.

31.jpg

Then we've sold second batch of restore fatigue potions for 200 elder bucks.

Chapter 4 – Have You Come Seeking the Light?

1.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Now, I have spell of light but I ran out of magical powers to cast it when I tried to heal myself with other spell. Before I continue my quest for egg poachers I better take a little rest in Fighters Guild halls.

2.jpg

3.jpg

I will rest untill my magical powers are restored.

4.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Who the fuck are you?!

5.jpg

Whoever that is, he's gonna get slashed.

6.jpg

He's not fighting back because he's stuck on a bed. Also, our long blade skill increased.

7.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I updated my journal!

8.jpg

9.jpg

Mysterious assasin had nice set of light armor. It's useless for us but we can sell it for a pretty penny.

10.jpg

Since he got stuck on a bed and didn't fight back, we managed to recover a very valuable throwing dart made of ebony. We will also sell it.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Now I can continue my rest.

11.jpg

12.jpg

Unfortunately, light spell is from school of illusion and we completely suck at it (we have skill of 5) so we have only 16% chance of casting this spell.

13.jpg

But after few tries we had lucky roll and spell worked. Since it gives much more light than any torch we previously had, I think it might be to our advantage to train illusion a little bit (even though it won't level us up because it's not our major or minor skill).

14.jpg

First we will sell mysterious assasin's armor to fighters guild blacksmith. We earned 1780 elder bucks and this guy can't afford our ebony dart now. We will sell it to someone's else.

15.jpg

Mages guils is nearby and they offer illusion training. Since we are horrible at this schoold of magic training is very cheap.

16.jpg

We've spend some money for 5 lessons of illusion.

17.jpg

Now we have 29% chance of casting this spell. Let's train a little more.

18.jpg

19.jpg

Ok, now we have 41% chance and it should be enough since this spell costs only 9 magicka and we have total of 100.

1.jpg

It's dark outside. I will rest until morning on my way to egg mine.

2.jpg

3.jpg

4.jpg

5.jpg

And I'v just noticed that our "light" spell works on "target". For it to work properly in dark cave we would have to cast it on someone. We can't cast it on ourselves, we have to go back to Balmora's Mage's Guild and unfuck this spell.

6.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

For fucks sakes...

7.jpg

8.jpg

We used local spell maker to make almost identical spell, but one which works on "self" instead of on "target". And then we practiced illusion some more. We really need this light spell to work.

9.jpg

With full stamina we have 50% chance of casting it. It have to be enough because we are out of money and can't train more illusion.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I hope it will work this time.

11.jpg

We also rested a while in fighters guild before going back to egg mine AGAIN.

12.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

:grumble: :grumble:

13.jpg

Finally!

14.jpg

Now, let's look for those egg poachers.

15.jpg

I will keep collecting those kwama eggs. I can use them in alchemy.

16.jpg

There are kwama foragers everywhere and those buggers are aggresive. We have to kill one every few steps.

17.jpg

At least I can get something useful out of them.

18.jpg

Queen's lair. Let's look for poachers somwhere else before we go there.

19.jpg

Mining camp seems like a good place to look around.

20.jpg

21.jpg

22.jpg

I guess I will have to find them on my own.

23.jpg

We are running out of magicka for our torch spell. So, let's rest a while.

24.jpg

Poachers are not in mining camp. Let's take a look in queen's lair...

25.jpg

I think I've found them!

26.jpg

Have at you!

27.jpg

28.jpg

They managed to beat us up a little bit but at least our skills are improving.

29.jpg

Yes, those are the egg poachers. Daynila Valas...

30.jpg

... and Sevilo Othan.

31.jpg

My job is done, let's get out of here.

32.jpg

33.jpg

34.jpg

eydis.jpg

The Fighters Guild recognize you, Jarema. You are now Jarema the Journeyman.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Do you have any more jobs for me?

eydis.jpg

We have a contract from the Caldera Mining Company to kill four Telvanni agents responsible for trouble at the Caldera Mine. Their names are Alynu Aralen, Sathas Nerothren, Fothyna Herothran, and Alveleg. They're hiding in a cave in the hills north of Caldera Mine. When the four agents are dead, report back to me. Take care, it's very likely that one of them is on lookout posted outside the mines. The quickest way to Caldera is probably to have the guild guide at the Mages Guild transport you, but it is your choice.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I know how to get to Caldera. But where are Caldera mines?

eydis.jpg

They're southwest of the town of Caldera, I believe. Check around when you're in Caldera. They'll give you better directions.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Allright, I will take care of it eventually but for now, I have more pressing business here in Balmora. Goodbye, Eydis Fire-Eye.

1.jpg

We are near level 2 but we need just a little bit more training. We don't have enough gold to train but we should be able to sell our ebony dart.

2.jpg

Meldor will take it for 800 elder bucks.

3.jpg

Selling it increased our mercantile skill.

4.jpg

Jumping around raised our acrobatics skill and it was enough for us to level up. Now we have to find a place to rest.

5.jpg

But first we will engage in a little bit of alchemy.

6.jpg

We will buy every alchemical ingredient with "restore fatigue" effect.

7.jpg

And then we shall make as many restore fatigue potions as we can.

8.jpg

And then we will wait for kitty to restock its ingredients.

9.jpg

Buy more ingredients, make more potions, increase our alchemy and repeat this process couple times.

10.jpg

Then we will sell our potions for few elder bucks.

11.jpg

Now we have coins to train our major skills a little bit.

12.jpg

But first let's level up. It's not most effective way to level up (our attributes gain is quite low) but whatever. I decided to increase Strength, Endurance and Intelligence.

13.jpg

Now, let's train long blades.

14.jpg

We raised it by one point and Balmora's Fighters Guild can't help me to raise it any further. We will have to look for other trainers.

15.jpg

And then we trained some heavy armor.

16.jpg

We will buy steel boots (we had iron) for what money we have left.

17.jpg

And then we've sold stuff we stolen to local pawnbroker.

Never quite understood how was the character development system supposed to work according to the designers. So is the general idea that you should pick suboptimal attribute increases when leveling up, or is the design revolving around what most MW players do, ie. abuse trainers for cheap skill increases until you get 3x5?

I took couple lessons of long blades to give us little more oomph early on (I have hard time hitting shit) but I'm done with training it since Fighters Guild can't help us more. Now we will train alchemy and majeec.

Morrowind character development system is so broken that I doubt that developers put that much though into it. If any.

They should've just kept the Daggerfall leveling system. There was a trade off between attribute points and HP.

Chapter 5 – Dwemer Puzzle Box

1.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I will finish my fighters guild job later. Now, let's see if Caius Cosades have anything for me to do

2.jpg

caius.jpg

Ready for orders? Good. Go talk to Hasphat Antabolis at the Balmora Fighters Guild. Ask him what he knows about the Nerevarine secret cult and the Sixth House secret cult. You'll have to do him a favor first. Probably an ugly favor. But do it. Then get the information from Antabolis and report back to me.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Ugly favor eh? Ok, let's see what this Hasphat will want for his informations.

3.jpg

4.jpg

hasphat.jpg

Good day, Journeyman. So you're with Caius, eh? And Caius wants information? Of course, there's a this-for-that involved. I require a favor first, and then I'll tell you what you want to know.

Jaremasmall.jpg

What do you want from me for this information?

hasphat.jpg

There are Dwemer ruins nearby called Arknghtand. I need you to run over there and find me a little cube with a circular design and some symbols on one side. It's called 'a Dwemer puzzle box' Brind me back the Dwemer puzzle box, and I'll tell you what you want to know.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Can you tell me little more about this 'Dwemer puzzle box'?

hasphat.jpg

The little cube I'm looking for is about the size of a fist, maybe a little bigger. It will be made of a coppery metal, with a circular design and symbols on one side and some lined marks on the other sides. That's all I want, that little cube.

Jaremasmall.jpg

How am I supposed to find this Arkngthand?

hasphat.jpg

The old Dwemer ruins at Arknghtand are extensive on the surface and underground. Head south out of town past the silt strider port, then cross bridges east over the Odai River. At the signpost, head north towards Caldera. Immediately on the right see a signpost for Molag Mar. Turn right and head uphill on an old road to cross an ancient Dwemer bridge over Doyada Mamaea. The entrance to Arkngthand is on the east side od the foyada, south of the bridge. Turn a crank on a pipe nearby to open the doors.

Jaremasmall.jpg

The fuck is 'foyada' I don't even.

hasphat.jpg

'Foyada' means 'fire-river' in the native Ashlander language. The deep, ash-dark ravines which run down from the Red Mountain volcano are called foyada. The lava from Red Mountain is very fluid and it runs almost like water, and during an eruption, fire-rivers run down the mountain, clearing the ravines of vegetation. Because they have good footing, are clear of brush, and run long distances, the natives use them like roads.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Allright. By the way, what happened to the Dwemer?

hasphat.jpg

The disappearance of the Dwarves predates Imperial written records; Dunmer oral accounts record that the Dwemer were utterly destroyed by the gods for profane practices and impiety. Dwarven ruins are scattered across Tamriel, and weapons, armor, housewares, coins, and other items of Dwemer design are oftten found, but the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the Dwarves remains one of the Tamriel's greatest mysteries. I won't bore you blathering about history. That's what Caius is for. But if you're really interested, ty 'On Morrowind, the Imperial Province', by Erramanwe of Sunhold. I have an extra copy you can have. What an adventurer like you REALLY needs is a sense of current events. Who hates who? Where's trouble brewing? That's where opportunity lies for an outlander like you.

Jaremasmall.jpg

And what's so special about events currently happening?

hasphat.jpg

The Great Houses hate each other – theft, murder, assassination, secret raids, standard stuff. The Temple is trying to kill off a rebellious faction called the Dissident priests. Ashlander nomads raid each other, attack traders and pilgrims. A secret cult is killing off Imperial citizens. All bad enough. The real problem, though, is the Blight. Monsters and diseases. The natives say it comes from Red Mountain. It's been a local problem for years, but lately it's gotten badly out of control.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Shit's seems real, man. I will take a look on this book you gave me. Thank you, I will se you again when I will have the dwemer cube you seek.

1.jpg

Let's read this book.

On Morrowind

the Imperial Province

by Erramanwe of Sunhold

After the coonquest of Hammerfell, Imperial legions massed along the norheastern borders of Cyrodiil, and invasion fleets prepared in Skyrim.

Initially, though the Imperial legions and navy were widely considered undefeatable, House Indoril and the Temple hierarchy proposed to resist to death. Redoran and Dres stood by Indoril, with Telvanni reamining neutral. Hlaalu proposed accomodation.

Contrived border incidents in Black Marsh ended inconclusively, but the swampy terrain did not favor legion and navy coordination. Against the legions massed west of Silgrad Tower and Kragenmoor, and the legions west of Blacklight and Cormaris View, Morrowind had pitifully small militias stiffened by small companies of Redoran mercenaries and elite units of house nobles and Temple Ordinators and Armigers. Further complicating matter was the refusal of Indoril, Dres, Hlaalu, and Telvanni to garrison the western borders; Inforil and Dres proposed, rather than defend the western border, instead to withdraw to the interior and fight a guerilla war. With Hlaalu advocating accomodation, and Telvanni remaining neutral, Redoran therefore faced the prospect of standing alone against the Empire.

The situation changed radically when Vivec appeared in person in Vivec City to announce his negotation of a treaty with Emperor Tiber Septim, reoragnizing Morrowind as a province of the Empire, but guaranteeing "all right of faith and self-government." A shocked Temple hierarchy, which apparently had not been consulted, greeted the annoucnement with awkward silence. Indoril swore they would resist to the death, with the loyal support of Dres, while Redoran, grateful for a graceful excuse to avoid facing the legions unsupported, joined with Hlaalu in welcoming the agreement. Telvanni, seeing which way the wind blew, joined with Hlaalu and Redoran in supporting the treaty.

Nothing is known of the circumstances of the personal meeting between Septin and Vivec, or where it took place, or the preliminaries which must have preceded the treaty. The public reason was to protect the identities of the agents involved. In the West, speculation has centered around the role of Zurin Arctus in brokering the agreement; in the East, rumors suggest that Vivec offered Numidium to aid in the conquest of the Altmer and Sumerset Isle in return for significant concessions to preserve self-rule, house traditions, and religious practices in Morrowind.

The Lord High Councilor of the Grand Council, an Indoril, refused to accept the treaty, and refused to step down. He was assassinated, and replaced by Hlaalu. House Hlaalu took the opportunity to settle some old scores with House Indoril, and a number of local councils changed hands in bloody coups. More blood was shed in these inter-house struggles than against the Imperial Legions during Morrowind's transition from an independent nation to a province of the Empire.

The Generals of the legions had dreaded and invasion of Morrowind. The Dunmer were widely regarded as the most dreadful and fanatic foes, further inspired by their Temple and clan traditions. The gernerals had not grasped the political weaknesses of Morrowind, which Emperor Tiber Septim recognized and exploited.

At the same time, given the trafic depopulation and destuction experienced by the other provinces conquered by Septim, and the swift and efficient assimilation of Morrowinf into the Imperial legal system and economy, with erlatively small impact on lower or upper classes of Morrowind's citizens, the Tribunal also deserves some credit for recognizing the hopelessness of Morrowind's defense, and the chance of gaining important concessions at the treaty table by being the first to offer peace.

By contrast, many Indoril nobles chose to commit suicide rather than submit to the Empire, with the result that the house was significantly weakened during the period of transition, guaranteeing that they would lose much of ther infulece and power to House Hlaalu, whose influence and power was waxing with its enthusiastic accommodation with the Empire. The Temple hierarchy more skillfully managed their loss of face, remaining aloof from political struggles, and earning the good will of the people by concentrating on their economic, educational, and spiritual welfare.

Jaremasmall.jpg

This Vivec guy seems like a race traitor... It wouldn't hurt to learn a little bit more about Morrowind. I will go back to Caius Cosades and ask what he knows.

2.jpg

caius.jpg

You want to learn more about Morrowind? Jeanette Sitte's little book is a good place to start. And I also reccomend 'On Morrowind, the Imperial Province', by Erramanwe of Sunhold.

3.jpg

A Short History of Morrowind by Jeanette Sitte

[from the Introduction]

Led by the legendary prophet Veloth, the ancestors of the Dunmer, exiles from Altmer cultures in present-day Summerset Isle, came to the region of Morrowind. In earliest times the Dunmer were harassed or dominated by Nord sea raiders. Then the scattered Dunmer tribes consolidated into the predecessors of the modern Great House clans, they threw out the Nord oppresors and succesfullyresisted further incursions.

The ancient ancestor worship of the tribes was in time superseded by the monolithic Tribunal Temple theocracy, and the Dunmer grew into a great nation called Resdayn. Resdayn was the last of the provinces to submit to Tiber Septim; Like Black Marsh, it was never succesfully invaded, and was peacfully incorporated by treaty into the Empire as the Province of Morrowind.

Almost Four centuries after the coming of the Imperial Legions, Morrowind is still occupied by Imperial legions, with a figurhead Imperial King, though the Empire has reserved mos functions of the traditional local government to the Ruling Councils of the Five Great Houses.

[on Vvardenfell District]

In 3E 414, Vvardenfell Territory, previously a Temple preserve under Imperial protection, was reoraganized as an Imperial Provincial District. Vvardenfell had been maintained as a preserve administrated by the Temple since the Treaty of the Armistice, and except for a few Great House settlements santcioned by the Temple, Vvardenfell was previously uninhabited and undeveloped. But when the centuries-old Temple ban on trade and settlement of Vvardenfell was revoked by King of Morrowind, a flood of Imperial colonists and Great House Dunmer came to Vvardenfell, expanding old settlements and building new ones.

The new District was divided into Redoran, Hlaalu, Telvanni and Temple Districts, each separately administarated by local House Councils or Temple Priesthoods, and all under the advice and consent of Duke Dren and the District Council in Ebonheart. Local law became a mixture of House Law and Imperial Law in House districts, jointly enforced by House guards and Legion guard, with Temple law and Imperial law enforced in the Temple district by Ordinators. The Temple was still recognized as the majority religion, but worship of the Nine Divines was proteced by the legions and encouraged by Imperial cult missions.

The Temple District indlucded the city of Vivec, the fortress of Ghostgate, and all sacred and profane sites (including those Blighted areas inside the Ghostfence) and all unsettled and wildernes areas on Vvardenfell. In practice this district indluded all parts of Vvardenfell not claimed for Redoran, Hlaalu or Telvanni Districts. The Temple stubbornly fought all development in their district, and were largely successful.

House Hlaalu in combination with Imperial colonists embarked on a vigorous campaign of settlement and development. In the decades after reorganization, Balmora and the Ascadian Isles regions have grown steadily. Caldera and Pelagiad are competely new settlements, and all legion forts were expanded to accommodate larger garrisons.

House Telvanni, normally conservative and isolationist has been surpisingly aggresive in expanding beyond their traditional tower villages. Disregarding the protest of the other Houses, the Temple, the Duke, and the District council, Telvanni pioneers have been encroaching on the wild lands reserved to the Temple. The Telvanni council officially disavows responsibility for these rogue Telvanni settlements, but it is an open sevret that they are encouraged and supported by ambitious Telvanni mage-lord.

Under pressure from the Temple, conservative House Redoran has steadfastly resisted expansion in their district. As a result, House Redoran and the Temple are in danger of being politically and economically marginalized by the more aggressive and expansionist Hlaalu and Telvanni interests.

The Imperial administration faces many challenges in the Vvardenfell district, but the most serious are the Great House rivalries, animosity from the Ashlander nomads, internal conflicts withing the Temple itself, and the Red Mountain blight. Struggles between Great House, Temple, and Imperial interests to control Vvardenfell's resource could at any time erupt into full-scale war. Ashlanders raid settlements, plunder caravans, and kill foreigners on their wild lands. The Temple has unsuccessfully attempted to silence criticism and calls for reform within its ranks.

But most serious are the plagues and diseased hosts produced by the blight storms sweeping out from Red Mountain. Vvardenfell and all Morrowind have lon been menaced by the legendary evils of Dagoth Ur and his ash vampire kin dwelling beneath Red Mountain. For centuries the Temple has contained this threat withing the Ghostfence. But recently the Temple's resources and will have faltered, and the threat from Red Mountain has grown in scale and intensity. If the Ghostfence should fail, and hosts of blighted monsters were to spill out across Vvardenfell's town and villages, the Empire might have no choice but to evacuate Vvardenfell district and abandon it to disease and corruption.

Jaremasmall.jpg

What a cheery place. According to this book Balmora is part of house Hlaalu district. I wonder if Temple has any power here. Let's take a look around.

4.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Hello there, what can you tell me about Balmora?

commoner.jpg

Balmora is the Council Seat of Great House Hlaalu, and the largest town on Vvardenfell except for Vivec City. Located on the Odai River, and sitting astrife the Ald'ruhn-Vivec road. Balmora is an important mercantile trade and travel center. High Town is the administrative center, with the Temple and manor houses. The shops, guilds, and tradehouses of the Commercial District are north of the river; Labor Town's modest cornerclubs and homes are south of the river.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Heard any rumors lately?

commoner.jpg

Why, yes. Everyone's still talking about the muder of Ralen Hlaalo.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Raren Hlaalo?

commoner.jpg

Yes, Hlaalo Manor is on the northwest side of town. Just head southwest from the Temple, go up the first steps you see, then look to your left. Though I don't know why you'd want to go there after what's happened.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Thank you very much.

5.jpg

6.jpg

This building look important. Let's investigate.

7.jpg

8.jpg

9.jpg

Cozy.

10.jpg

11.jpg

12.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Can you teach me some spells?

25.jpg

Oh yes. She can teach us Mark spell. Now we will have complete teleportation spell.

13.jpg

She's also selling alchemical ingredients. Let's buy few to make restore fatigue potions.

14.jpg

15.jpg

Mark and Recall are Mysticism spells. Even though Mysticism is one of your major skills we are too shit at it to cast it reliabely.

16.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I will have to pay a visit for mages guild and get some training.

17.jpg

18.jpg

We can train mysticism, and fortunately it's quite cheap.

19.jpg

We will have to make few cheap potions to get more gold for our training though.

20.jpg

We will buy required ingredients in local kitty shop.

21.jpg

We improved our alchemy and leveled up.

22.jpg

We managed to make enough elder bucks to improve our mysticism to level 19. That's got to be enough for now because we are broke again.

23.jpg

Thanks to our training, now we have 40 % chance of casting Mark and Recall spells.

24.jpg

Now we will take a short rest, level up (increasing strength, intelligence and endurance again).

26.jpg

And then we can cast Mark spell near Hasphat and start looking for his dwemer box.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Ok, I'm supposed to cross bridge on river Odai.

2.jpg

I think it's this one.

3.jpg

4.jpg

Then follow path north to Caldera...

5.jpg

... And then turn right.

6.jpg

I think it's this ancient bridge Hasphat was talking about.

7.jpg

Have at thee!

8.jpg

Bastard summoned skeleton and hit us with lightning bolt.

9.jpg

He failed to do any significant damage to us and fell quickly.

10.jpg

We didn't find anything usefull on his body though.

11.jpg

Ah crap.

12.jpg

Ah shit.

13.jpg

14.jpg

Have at you, you fiend from oblivion!

15.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

According to Hasphat, this crank should open Dwemer ruins.

16.jpg

17.jpg

We cast our torch spell and prepare ourselves for some exploration.

1.jpg

2.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Goddamn looters!

3.jpg

SPLAT!

4.jpg

BOW BEFORE ME!

5.jpg

Ok, we killed both those guys and looted their pocket money. We can continue our exploration.

6.jpg

Let's go up first.

7.jpg

8.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I'm not planning to escape!

9.jpg

He managed to beat us up a little but we should be fine.

10.jpg

He had three very useful open scrolls. We will gladly take them.

11.jpg

We will also take this cure diesease potion, just in case. Rest of the crap he had is useless.

12.jpg

My polack senses are telling me it's not safe to sleep here.

13.jpg

I will use my heal potion to heal up a little.

17.jpg

I think that's what Hasphat wants

18.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

Updated my journal!

19.jpg

We also found few dwemer coins. They wieght almost nothing and are quite valuable.

20.jpg

We left Cells of Hollow hand and managed to get a nap.

21.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

I have the dwemer box but I think I will explore those ruins a little bit more. I can teleport to Hasphat whenever I want.

22.jpg

23.jpg

24.jpg

Those looters are good practice.

25.jpg

But they are no match for me!

26.jpg

Strange machinery. I'v never saw anything like that before.

27.jpg

28.jpg

29.jpg

30.jpg

31.jpg

We are kicking butts and taking names.

32.jpg

After killing few looters we can continue our exploration.

33.jpg

34.jpg

SPLAT!

35.jpg

After killing one more...

36.jpg

I decided to finally set difficulty to hard because we are kicking way too much ass.

37.jpg

Locked doors... hm, those scrolls I've found may be useful here.

38.jpg

Allright, let's se what's behind closed doors.

39.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

What in the fuck?

40.jpg

It's ripping us a new one.

41.jpg

We will have to use potion of healing to survive this thing.

42.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

What a strange contraption.

43.jpg

There's more of them!

44.jpg

And my torch spell ran out!

45.jpg

46.jpg

FALL BACK!

47.jpg

We will lick our wounds here and then come back with vengance.

48.jpg

SLASH AT RANDOM! SLASH AT RANDOM!

49.jpg

Ok, we did it. Now we can look for more troubles.

1.jpg

But let's take a rest first.

2.jpg

We've found locked Dwemer chest. We will use our open scrolls to unlock it.

3.jpg

4.jpg

And there was a dwarven halberd inside. Pretty valuable, we shall take it.

5.jpg

And in nearby kegs we've found diamond...

6.jpg

And two pieces of raw glass.

7.jpg

Jaremasmall.jpg

What the hell is that?

8.jpg

Have at you!

9.jpg

HOLY FUCK!

10.jpg

FLEE!

11.jpg

12.jpg

Ok, we've managed to run away. Now we will use healing spell and then teleport our ass to Hasphat.

13.jpg

hasphat.jpg

So. Have you done that little facor I asked?

Jaremasmall.jpg

Yes, here's you cube.

hasphat.jpg

Perfect. Just what I was looking for. Just let me take this Dwemer puzzle box, and then I'll tell you what Caius will want to know about the Sixth House. And about the Nerevarine. Byt the way, the inscriptions on the box seem to be the directions for setting a Dwemer key to open specific lock. If you're interested, after you've delivered your report to Caius, come back, and maybe I'll have a key you can take back to Arkngthand.

Jaremasmall.jpg

I don't think I want to go back there... Allright, what do you know about Sixth House?

hasphat.jpg

House Dagoth is the Sixth House, the "lost" sixth house. In the First Age, House Dagoth betrayed the other Great Houses during the War of the First Council, and was destroyed for their treason. I can answet any questions you have, but I'll also give you some notes to give to Caius, and recommend some Sixth House references he should read.

Jaremasmall.jpg

What books can you recommend?

hasphat.jpg

Here's a list of books; all of them will tell you something about the Sixth House and how it ended: 'The War of The First Council', 'Saint Nerevar', 'Nerevar Moon-And-Star', and 'The Real Nerevar'. Good luck finding them though, the recent events have made these hard to come by.

Jaremasmall.jpg

Who is this 'Nerevar' anyway?

hasphat.jpg

The Ashlander believe a reborn Nerevar will unite the Dunmer against the outlander invaders and restore the ancient Dark Elven nation. Nerevar is a legendary hero and saint of the Temple, but the Temple denies the prophecy, and persecutes heretics who belive in the Nerevarine. Tell Caius that Sharn gra-Muzgob would be a better person to ask about the native faiths and superstitions.

Would brofist but... retarded graphics-overhaul mods are retarded
This.

Graphics overhaul is massive boner-killer.
Play it vanilla visually, or at most with DraQ sanctioned MGE settings.

Shouldn't be too hard to ditch those mods even in progress.

Tell me what are your accepted MGE settings and I will switch to them no problem. I personally installed MGSO 3.0 just out of curiosity and I must say I'm not very impressed (especially by cutesy faces).

Best Morrowind Texture Pack?
Something like this. Without even texture packs.

I use better bodies and it's Liztail's counterpart for be(a)straces, but they are strictly optional.

Ok. I will screw around with MGSO options and texture mods and maybe I will be able to come up with something that looks less plastic. Next update waits for another page anyway.
