You can just take a look at reviews to see that most negative ones never even reached the first actual dungeon. The starting maps are that bad.

Or the reviewing people are that retarded. I'm leaning towards them being retarded over the starting maps being bad.

Given that literally everyone here had the exact same reaction to the first map, I'm leaning towards you being retarded.
Care to elaborate why? Most of the reviews on steam are about how poorly looked and run,no self respecting codexer will truly care about this shit....outside of the drama tho. Instead of being a sheep and say it is shit because other people think it is shit,it will be nice to explain why. You have to spend like 10 minutes without making a character and a hour or two until get a whole party or create a whole party. Don't see how this a bad starting area for a game. If you want shitty starting area go and replay Vampire,it has the worst starting area in a rpg, especially that 15 minutes of unscaleable cutscene.

I was referring to upper Skara Brae specifically, which is by far the worst part about the game.

The upper city you have access to when you first start is extremely minor and short. What is wrong with it? Its more a flavor area/story set up than an actual area. What would have made it good? Pokeman and My Little Ponies?

You must have forgotten the "investgiate what happens to these 3 characters" part that Rabbie gives you and makes you go back to upper Skara Brae. It does last an hour or two, so I wouldn't call it "extremely minor and short".

Whoever considers the introductory parts of this game "minor" and "short" is tripping bawlz, dawg. It's at least 5 hours til the Mage Tower.

Also i noticed that in most torrents i visit is pretty popular game. Also they are slav torrents :incline:.

A sort of entertaining game but with bugs, technical problems, and not overall that memorable is definitely torrent bait though. I've lost count of the number of random eurojank RPGs that were completely panned in reviews that I played that ended up being fairly decent as long as you weren't paying for the thing.

I wonder if the game would run better on linux. Just get the most barebones version of linux ever, and get a tiny bit better performance, maybe.

Expectation: I'll just play Pathfinder until BT4 gets patched.

Reality? Let's have a look at some Pathfinder reviews.

-I just downloaded the game and it won't start on my mac book pro 2018 . what is happening ???

-Can't even get into game. 0/10

-Game won't start after the loading screen

-Ubuntu Release very buggy

-Been trying for over an hour to load into the game.

If it is another Bard's tale....well it will be bizarre at best.

It's oficially a competition. Which release is fucked more badly: BT4 or Pathfinder?

Kingmaker works perfectly fine on my 6yo PC, Bards Tale ran at 5 fps on default, then got irreparably fucked (stuck at 10x10 resolution) when i tried to lower the settings.

Pathfinder just has a hideous menu load time, then the game is smooth as butter and seems like a lot of fun. Let's not compare a total performance trainwreck to a game that has ONE slow loading hurdle.

Hope you brought your top-tier i7 and 2000-dollar GPU.
I'm playing BT4 on a 5 year old i5 3570k and a 2 and a half year old 1070, 40-60fps. Loadtimes were very slow on a mechanic HDD but I've since moved the game to a SSD and it's not that bad.

Hyperbole doesn't help anyone.

BT4 easily from what I've read. Pathfinder is just an install thing, if you can get the game to load it works fine. Hardly the first game like that either, I can count a few games that just refuse to open on my computer for whatever reason but are otherwise bugfree.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Bard's Tale IV is the worse release, though strictly speaking I'd bet that Kingmaker has a larger number of bugs (it's just that the ones in BT4 are doozies)
