I hope one day some dev would make a game that will turn a male PC into a female, that way you can have the best of both worlds, start as a man and stare at a female and you might even be able to whore yourself up and explore how being a female feels like.
pretty sure there's dozens of hentai games like that already
Fighting in the front line is not within any woman's competence. Never was, and never will be. And it's neither about recreating real world nor cliches, but common sense. Weak-T men and deluded women that push for females in combat roles, either in fantastical or real-life scenarios, in their vanity focus on the "glorious" part of the warfare, trying to prove the unprovable and set the entire world's natural order on its head. If it was not about looking cool parading in armor and with swords pretending to be "as competent as men", but actually what the war was and is about - delivering and receiving gruesome wounds, constant tiredness and fear, insufferable living conditions, let alone risk of mass rapings, we wouldn't see any nerds and wannabe feminists putting their precious cute girls there. Why would I recreate the real world in a fantasy setting? Or why would I follow the established fantasy roles and cliches?
All assholes who demand women be given frontline roles where they risk capture are either closet rapists who love to see women tortured and raped but are too cowardly to do that themselves or traitors to western civilisation. I can think of no other reason for them to demand that women be put in such a position.Fighting in the front line is not within any woman's competence. Never was, and never will be. You're not recreating real world until you portray combat like it truly is. What you and others like you are doing, instead, is creating your fantasy of empowered women that makes no sense - because it's coming from unsatiated quasi-sexual thirst.
stereotype =/= averages. Stereotype may be misleading since the representative can be a stand-out or loud minority inside a population. Averages however, is alot more acccurate in term of generalizing a whole population. So, the essence of SJWism. "The world generally tends to work in a certain way, therefore I am going to insistently demand the opposite in games." And then you wonder why some people are fed up with the "stronk gurlz beat everyone, hurr durr" trope stuffed in their faces at every turn
there are lots of hentai and porn games out thereI hope one day some dev would make a game that will turn a male PC into a female, that way you can have the best of both worlds, start as a man and stare at a female and you might even be able to whore yourself up and explore how being a female feels like.
Gameplay downsides could have been interesting. Even simple NPC barks changing in FO2 to signify that the player is a known whore, would have been very effective for a player who is more into the game and would pay attention to such stuff.Should be banned for children!i think most of the "differences" happens by whoring yourself
I'm thinking, if you want realism there should be some downsides to that. Even today pornstars can't make it into politics etc. Back then, probably no man would marry them, or maybe fantasy isn't middle ages? Whatever but there are diseases and pregnancy too!BTW, in Fallout 2 you can get various discounts and shortcut sidequests by sleeping with shop vendors and quest NPCs. I can't remember specific instances though. And I've never done it myself, thought it was too denigrating.
One design solution is some holy root, that women have to make a potion from to avoid that... yeah won't fly with SJWs
You can very well look at the problem from a different angle, which has been explored in the post-apo genre a lot - in a post-nuclear apocalypse world, the few remaining communities are so closely knit together and so hell-bent on retaining the shreds of social order and decency, that whoring is perceived harsher than it used to be in the happier times, breeding excessively is always a move against the group's pool of resources, etcOn the other hand, I was thinkning, that you could come up with a setting-related justification. In a post-nuclear apocalypse world, it's not impossible that the social stigma against extra-marital sex would have been much lighter, given the breakdown of society and of marriage as a government- and church-sanctioned institution. With the dramatic decrease of population and rising mortality, you could expect that even such acts would be viewed less harshly. With the species coming so much closer to extinction, breeding would have been viewed as good in itself, with the circumstances becoming less important. Moral values would have been different.
The smaller the community, the stronger the sanctions in general. But also - the more difficult it becomes to find a spouse within the community, and you have to look to the neighboring village...You can very well look at the problem from a different angle, which has been explored in the post-apo genre a lot - in a post-nuclear apocalypse world, the few remaining communities are so closely knit together and so hell-bent on retaining the shreds of social order and decency, that whoring is perceived harsher than it used to be in the happier times, breeding excessively is always a move against the group's pool of resources, etcOn the other hand, I was thinkning, that you could come up with a setting-related justification. You can say that to my warrior women when they are smashing giant spiders and demons.
In an all-or-nothing-us-vs-them surely the women should fight. All assholes who demand women be given frontline roles where they risk capture are either closet rapists who love to see women tortured and raped but are too cowardly to do that themselves or traitors to western civilisation. maybe there's a reason they were colonized by western countriesYou're looking at women in military from a very western perspective. In Indian/Hindu mythology (and even history) for an example, women are often portrayed as warriors (See Kali and Durga). As do many other cultures to be honest.
Similar here. I usually put not more than 1 or 2 women in a party I create and they are usually healers, thiefs/rogues or magic types. An exception for Wizardry where valkyrie was a cool frontline class and female-only at the same time.I only have female chars in party based rpgs where you can make several chars. Gender roles are as follows:
- Frontline fighter, cleric (if holy warrior archetype), mage: male
- Thief/rogue, cleric (if healbot support mage archetype), bard, druid, mage (if there is already a male mage): female
Pretty sure some feminibot would get triggered at the idea of gender roles in fantasy rpgs. Until they realize what few wahmen play rpg tend to conform to the roles set above up to a T.
