"Combat rebalanced to make combat fairer to NPCs."

Need details on this. Hope it's more than just hitpoint/armor/damage adjustment.

I'd take higher HP/damage over something player has completely no control, like increasing the chance to master strike.
There should be an option to counter the master strike, they are really overpowered. It should cost quite a bit of stamina though, so there would be no endless countering.

Ok, about to finish this game, in the last siege.

I know that the end kinda blueballs you on the vengeance questline, but does it also force you into dumb binary choices like "Save A, B dies" ?

It really goes downhill after the monastery, that night raid quest... :negative:

Anyway how can I pull combos consistently? Stronk guys tend to counter before I can chain the 3rd attack so is usually safer to feint for head attacks, and weaklings usually die before finishing the combo chain. Grabbing and pushing them helps, and I suppose draining their stamina. How do you achieve it?

Smejki A month away but no exact release date, just "July"?
I don't know why we keep it secret. Consoles certification takes time and DLC shop setup even more so, so I guess that's why... It should be earlier rather than later during July. Even I don't know the exact day. Or price.

Actually it's a typical 50s commie song which accompanied the propaganda short films about "building the better communist tomorrow and about model workers and units fulfilling the production plans at 120%!!!"
here's a whole bunch of them in this socialist realist paradiso hit chart

Also the final screen is inspired by the old 100 communist groshen

If you're wondering what "more ambitious than intended" means then this is how it went

02/2018 No concrete plans.
Rough idea is that DLC codenamed NewHomes will be simple and will enable the player to buy, upgrade and embellish like 3-5 houses in existing villages. Next to no new VO. Maybe some new assets.

early 03/2018 actual proposed design:
- There will be a full-fledged quest preceding the main thing
- The main thing will be complete rebuilding of Pribyslawitz.
- With like 15 slots for buildings
- With exclusive building upgrades
- With complete renewal of the church
- With dependency/tech tree
- With a dynamic book which serves as UI for a light management sim
- With cutscenes
- And you'll be able to hire some known NPCs
- And you'll have to strike deals on some resources
- And you'll be able to resolve several conflicts as a judge
- And we need to release it shortly after E3
- Also no dialogs are written and most design details still remain unaddressed

Other departments a few meetings later:
- "Fucking what?"
- We're still fixing the game
- Several key people will be 'free' by late 03/2018 due to GDC
- The design is not complete
- You have no dialogs written yet
- We need to start recording VO within 1.5 months, not to talk about translation and non-English VO
- Pribyslawitz assets are totally not ready for this, changing stuff will likely break the battle there
- We mustn't affect the battle
- The whole thing requires tons of new assets, several new techs, major overhauls of some subsystems which were not built with villages popping into existence and growing in mind
- We will never make this in time
- It's a neat idea but fuck you
- Ok, let's get to work

21/06/2018 Done, yo!
(And we only had to cut like 10% of the content all of which was expendable, and slightly simplify some parts)

I bet the DLC will break 100 other things so I'll get it a bit later.

Anyway, I'm happily continuing with my game.
Sold all my ill-gained overpowered-chest-stuff, bought normal stuff.
Sold 2 000 Kg of deer meat, bought better stuff again.
At about 24 hours into the game nothing seems to pose any challenge to my Henry. What gives? Isn't it a bit early? My strength is at 10, my combat stuff around 9.
Got a bit surprised at how many timed quests there seems to be so I decided to only do stuff in Rattay at first not to miss anything else. But really, is the game ever gonna get difficult again? I expect no...

- any plans to add comparison screen to equipped gear vs. the gear selected in the inventory? This is such a shit system.
- any plans to add the equipped gear's stat screen on mouse-over on the ragdoll? Again, why the fuck do I need to search through unsorted shit in my inventory to see my equipped gear's stats? And why in the FUCK is there no quick indication on the armor/clothing pieces as to on what layer they go?
This has been done properly in every other RPG ever.
- can you add niggers and juice?

...and here's me thinking you folks had the addons planned years in advance. Thanks for the info.

EDIT 1: Just learned that this village building addon happened because of requests by some gamers.

EDIT 2:

Negative perks for hardcore mode:

Nightmares - Since childhood you have been troubled by a reoccurring nightmare in which you are being chased by a colourful jester. Although the dream is repeated night after night, it still frightens you as much as when you were little. You awake so shook up that all your stats are lowered for a while.

Claustrophobia - When you were a child, you got your head stuck inside a pail and couldn't get it off all day, until your father took an axe to it. Ever since then, you've had a fear of enclosed spaces. Wearing a helmet with the visor down makes you so anxious that your attacks are weakened.

Haemophilia - Like your father and his father before him, you are afflicted with the family curse. All it takes is a scratch and you start to bleed like a stuck pig. Once it starts, the bleeding is faster and harder to stop.

Numbskull - Your mother dropped you on the head as a baby. She kissed it better and the bump soon faded, but ever since then, you're a little slow at getting the hang of things. This lowers your acquisition of experience.

Consumption - You once caught a nasty chill and ended up with a persistent cough. Many thought you'd never survive, but eventually you healed. Nevertheless, since that time, you don't breathe very well and your stamina regenerates more slowly.

Shakes - When you were too little to know any better, you fell into the well. It was hours before they heard you crying and got you out. Ever since then, you get the shakes from time to time, as if you were back again in the dark, chilly well. Obviously, that's not good for archery, pickpocketing or lockpicking.

Tapeworm - When you've got an appetite, you'll eat anything you can get your hands on, even raw meat. Folk say you eat enough for two. It's like you have a visitor in your guts who's eating you out of house and home. All foods are less nutritious for you, so you have to eat lots and more frequently.

Sonambulant - You've always been a restless sleeper, sometimes so much so that you get up from your bed and go walking. It's not unusual for you to wake up somewhere else than where you went to bed.

Brittle Bones - Ever since you were little, stairs and ladders have been your worst enemies. All it takes is a little fall and your bones break with an awful crack. You suffer much worse injuries than others when you fall.

RPG Codexer - Your single minded dedication to indoor gaming activities has left you with a severe Vitamin D deficiency, causing a repugnant appearance that scares others. Women outright refuse to talk to you.
