It probably makes sense to be ignorant of the term if English isn't your first language, though then surely it's also unlikely that your mind would go to "incel"

Allright truth time since it's clear I rolled a critical fail on my humor attempt roll. Whilst English isn't my first language (it's French) the first time I played NV was a very long time ago and I only found out what incel meant a few months ago because suddenly everyone on the internet is using it (along with "thot", another word that has apparently been in use for ages but only found out what it meant like last month because it's suddenly everywhere.
So yeah that was me trying to be funny and failing hard :(

Adam says: The Beast of Winter DLC is set in a wintery zone, sort of like The White March. Deals with the gods, high level content. Will be revealed soon.

He says the PoE2 DLCs are directly modelled on the FO:NV DLCs in terms of size and scope.

I hope I'm wrong but it seems like they picked the worst DLC to be the first one. From description it sounds like something out of Dragon Age's magic realm, whatever the fuck that was called. And I can't think of anything more boring than that.

The Fade.

But it always comes down to execution.

Magic realms, shadow realms, gates of mortality, etc., are nearly always shitfuckretardedemo & featuring some shitty gimmick gameplay that is nowhere as fun as the main. You see it in numenera, you see it in poe1/2 spirit cutscenes (& also the couple times in deadfire you dimension jump), even shadowrun matrix.

At this point i think RPGs should just not go there unless they have it really well thought out. If we're lucky, Beast of Winter will be more like IWD/White March with the focus on 'devilish challenges' less than 'ancient souls'.

I don't mind them exploring the theme of Gods even more, but they sure as fuck picked the most boring God in the whole pantheon. What does Rymgrand even do, sits in a vacuum and stares at his own navel?

Why would you increase the spread?
With how Dumpsterfire has % damage increases
I like the gambling thrill. Percentage increases are not huge, and can be reduced. More work would be turning them to additives.

BTW the guy who is doing the interview is one of the best informed journalists when it comes to PoE, and actually plays and enjoys it. I've seen him discuss builds and rules during the Deadfire campaign.

They are either not preparing well for interviews or don't know what their real selling points are. Adam didn't mention the multiclassing and only spoke a little about the graphics, but at least did emphasize the difficulty. Should have also touted the Free DLCs. Instead he spent time talking about the story and companions and ship combat?

That one encounter in his realm (where he can nonchalantly kill you if you piss him off), and the fact that all the gods (sans Berath) cower before him when he enters (coupled with his "I don't give a fuck, destroy everything." attitude), give me some measure of hope that he'll be an interesting pick to explore. Plus, he's one of the few gods that doesn't act like a petulant child.
