The bugs however are 100% done based on True Patch get completed years ago.

That's a ridiculous claim! I'll just post some most recent fixes from the current UP 10.0 RC1 here that I'm pretty sure the TP doesn't fix. If it does, please show proof!

Fixed Andrei's hands and many item and NPC models, thanks DDLullu. (like Andrei's hands are blocky or LaCroix's eyes show through his skin if you watch closely)
Made two boxes solid at warehouse and fixed moon of downtown hub. (you can move through the boxes at the right moment and the downtown moon was always wrong)
Added missing door to Ocean House and fixed two railing problems. (you can move through some Ocean House railings and can look through others, also a door is missing)
Fixed LaCroix particles and hid floating Masquerade cutscene NPCs. (LaCroix dominates you once without effects and in the Masquerade cutscene NPCs are floating)

But I bet that you don't count these as bugs, only game breaking stuff. In that case I'll guess both the UP and the TP have been finished for a long time already ;)...

The very notion that you're a bigger prima donna than Tessera is preposterous enough by itself.

It will get better.

Remember to listen to the radio and watch the tv for a lot of fun.

What Clan?

Toreador - I used the quiz to pick it with the only criteria being that I didn't want to take Nosferatu or Malkavian as most recommend avoiding them for a first playthrough. Right now I'm specialising in guns but Jezebel Locke grinds me into a fine paste so I may be gimped.

Indeed, but I admit that I'm a stupid perfectionist regarding Bloodlines :)!

Thanks for your work. This game is turning out really cool and I think it would be even harder to enjoy without your fixes.

After lurking for a while on this forum and Vampires the Masquerade Bloodlines is often mentioned as a classic so I thought I'd give it a try. Right now I'm 8 hours in and have returned to downtown.

Jesus christ the bugs. I'd heard about this beforehand and am playing the GOG version with the unofficial patches but I'm still having a really buggy experience: unable to holster my weapon until I had completed a certain quest, quicksave silently failing, etc. I even had an extremely weird one where reloading a save was not clearing some aggressive NPCs and I had to restart the game.

I have to say that the few hour was absolutely captivating. The tutorial with Jack, discovering Santa Monica...that was all really cool. But the plot has technical problems too - NPCs sometimes refer to other people I haven't met as if I know them. I wish that werewolf historian was less cringey.

Does it stay this wonky throughout? Because there is something really good here, if this game could just keep things together.
not gonna lie: first time I played it and saw the horrendous animations in the hospital where that girl's neck stretches out etc, I raged p hard.

The game isn't perfect, but there aren't that many C&C heavy RPGs about vampires, so we patch it and take what we can get.

I dunno, Wesp's patch is perhaps the best unofficial patch to a game I've ever used. It even has a basic patch for those who just want bug fixes without restored content. But whatever, Internet drama is more important.

Very nice wording. As a professional in both book industry and marketing field, I approve of this paragraph. Mind you, the second sentence is just uninformed stuffs but I am not a perfectionist here.

Yeah, how about you check the bugs I listed above and see if your favorite patch has them fixed, because I didn't introduce them...

I played through Bloodlines with the official patch only and did not encounter bugs so bad I could remember them now. But it's been a while. Would recommend a vanilla or close-to-vanilla experience for the first run.

Yes, it is, isn't it. Pity it doesn't mention that it is the ONLY patch he ever used...

There is no way in hell that any game let alone one as old as VTMB needs 15+ years fixing. The only ways for that to happen is that there was not a single line of bugfree code or you are a really shitty modder/programmer. I lean towards the latter.

As to your list, meaningless since there is no way to know by a glance if that is something which needed fixing let alone whether this was something in the original game, introduced by you or just made up by you.

He expects you to spend the next 10-15 years combing through lines of code to "fix" the bugs he mentioned, mate. It takes a certain kind of arrogance to come up with that kind of thinking. Making stuff up is the least of his worries.

I remember when Vampire first launched there was an area transition in the main path of the game that would crash 100% of the time for most (if not all) players. Only way to solve it was using a console command. Good times.

I love this game to death, wish I could play it fresh again.

I asked to check in your precious TP for these issues, because you claim it's prefectly bug free! I can't possible have introduced anything there. Just to narrow it down, try these:

Play the warehouse map, surprise the card players, kill them and move into the wagon. Nothing weird? Or just move around downtown and check out the moon. Does it look right?

Play the Ocean House until you get to the first floor. The outside wall will show through the railing. Or get the pendant and then go down the main stairs right through the railing...

I like how you talk about bugs introduced by wesp but you dont mention a specific one

I like how you talk by hearsay without making anything else than poor accusation

If i was wesp i would be pissed already. I criticized him too but at least I actually wish to compare the patches by playing the game.

The way you are acting you should delete your account and head to reddit.com
