education simulation

I think they want to write "raising simulation." Well, another potentially interesting game might be tarnished by goofy translation.

Do you guys remember about a game I posted about earlier in the thread? Faith of Danschant. It only released in Chinese speaking regions.

It now has an official release date for the west. March 22 2018. It has an awful name, too. God Dance Fantasy. Still day 1, though.
http://swhx.wangyuan.com/

I'll make a dedicated thread once it releases. No video of the localization puts my expectations of the English text in check.

I don't understand how this "strategy movement" works at all ; is it a good or a bad thing?

I guess they understand lewdness and/or memes are more likely profitable on Steam for unknown indies!

Chinese strategy RPG based on... French Revolution?: https://gematsu.com/2018/04/chinese...-the-maid-coming-to-ps4-switch-and-pc-in-2018

Banner of the Maid is a tactical role-playing game based on the famous French Revolution, with a twist of fictional fantasy elements. You will be playing as Pauline Bonaparte, a newly-graduated girl from military academy, who is always dreaming of earning herself a position in the upper class. In a journey of visiting her brother Napoleon Bonaparte, Pauline was accidentally dragged into a revolutionary storm in France.

Banner of the Maid was funded and will be published by CE-Asia, a video game publisher and distributor in China, and the game will be available in 2018 for PC and consoles.

Environment art looks pretty.

A Compendium of Ghosts, Korean RPG based on the web comic of the same name:

ss_a6a212f9e337e214757556f21ca396f694cafd36.600x338.jpg

ss_b541bec31e4e6c07eb575a3b911b51fba47c1705.600x338.jpg

is a role-playing game based on the webtoon of the same name.

Sang returns home as a fully fledged hunter. On his way, he gets caught up in a very strange event. You have to accompany him on his journey to gather clues and puzzle out what is going on.

Features
-Every character has his or her own story. Strike up a friendly conversation and you might get a glimpse of their life or earn a special reward.
-It’s a Pixel art role-playing adventure game. Feel the nostalgic retro vibe only a pixel art game can provide!
-Be curious and keep talking to the characters. They may drop some clues they didn’t provide the first time. Find out what really happened to Sang!
-Sang’s village has delicious snacks hidden in clay jars on the side of the road. How generous of them!
-You might be able to find the creators hiding somewhere within the game
-Find the characters from the original cartoon making a cameo appearance

No English support right now but I see the comic itself it officially available in English, so who knows.

TIL games from Korea get kickstarted in Germany. Looks potentially fun anyways, though most of these action roguelite kind of games suffer from being way too short and easy to finish.

Apparently it's pretty international team, consists of developers from Korea, Japan, and UK. Lead developer is Korean, apparently.

This game contains two separate story lines:
Flesh Machine and The Road to Freedom
These two stories are in the same future background and the game system is different.

shequ444208.jpg

Flesh Machine
The Flesh Machine has added moral values and focuses on the moral choice of the protagonist.
The outcome of the game will also be changed by your actions.
According to your own understanding and judgment of things, there are three different outcomes left for everyone to taste.
The game also added vitality values, as well as restrictions on weapons, ammunition and weights.
And more emphasis on survival.

The Road to Freedom
This story is about freedom, humanity, and he praise to people who can insist on maintaining goodness and justice even in darkness.
The game system of this independent story is different from "Flesh Machine".
There is no upgrade concept at all.
The proportion of items is stronger than that of equipment.
The power of weapons is not important, only focusing on pertinence.
The size of the enemy's volume is the key to equip with the right weapon.

For some reason I feel I should tag you: zwanzig_zwoelf
