The game has the issue that it tells you little, to the point the manual may as well be useless. For example, did you know that the key "ñ" lets you select and unselect all your units? Or that Tab lets you zoom closer to the screen (and thus appreciate the player character's need of glasses). I recommend you to read this and start with normal difficulty. Also, avoid AoE weapons and Stealth upgrades, they're useless, and remember that shields (whether from passive ones, the Field Projector or the Shield suit) let you explore damaged rooms without trouble.

I love this game and the second one. Mostly because of the setting, it's quite rare to have Japanese games takes place in the Taishou period.

Setting is nice, but keeping the original names wasn't such a great idea IMO.
I mean, for dwebz ITZ probably heavan, but for casualfags like me it's a pain in the ass:
"Go to Daijou-kyo and then follow the path to Kukiju-iju".

My first reaction after entering first to the cathedral - "holy shit !". Since we didn't have had BFG I just went berserk with my plasma gun leaving Astral behind and killing anyone in a straight line till I reach up the end. We've cleaned the whole room very quick with no casualties. After that I was like "Who wants some, huh? Who's next?" .

In case someone would be interested, the wad is titled Tangerine Nightmare. Good set of maps for co-op. Especially that last level (shivers).

This was one of the rare easy encounters in an otherwise very challenging wad. Unfortunately the last map is just CPU torturing slaughter nonsense as is so often the case. Still, all in all one of the best things to come out of France since Serge Gainsbourg.

I finally started Deus Ex replay with GMDX mod installed. I remember the fuss about the Revision mod, but after some consideration and reading about in codex I realized it would be a mistake to play it. Instead we've got a perfectly blending work of a fan who knows what could be changed to make it even more interesting to those who know the vanilla version. I was surprised how deadly and quickly reacting the AI behaves right now. This was one of the biggest problems for me. There is a lot of tiny changes here and there, but overall it feels like even better game, which is really rare. The stamina bar at first seemed to be a bad idea, but once I get used to it and had more experience it felt really natural. I had only one problem.

The only change that was IMO unnecessary was near the end, where the Bob Page is. There was a cutscene in original, but here you need to use LAM / explosive weapon to destroy the force field and have conversation with him. Well, at least I've checked the whole map for extra supplies but it may fool some people.

The ship is fantastic for venturing and finding every bit of ammo / supplies while preparing to destroy it. I've spent a lot of time with this mission.

Those damn greasels and their venom. Sometimes the fight goes really smooth and ends quickly, but just when you don't expect just don't want to die already.
