- Massively increased enemy health!
- Stamina regeneration has been significantly reduced.
- Attacks will now use significanlty more stamina.
- Stamina will be reduced more when the player is hit or blocks an attack.
- Stamina will take slightly longer to start regenerating.
- Enemies will now attack more often when fighting multiple enemies.
- Enemy damage slightly increased.

https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/103
Reduces the amount of money you get from selling items to vendors by circa 50%.
This makes stealing and herbalism less overpowered.

modders are already doing a great work without any real support.
the game already can be customized to fit any level of larping autism you want.

also look like it's not really about bug, it's more about AI balance (because you can change Ai to attack more etc etc)
I think I'll install both of those. No one is denying there are many ways to break the balance if you try, but IMO it should be possible only if you really try.

I really like the example of the African (Ethopian) King in Constantinople they trot out again in this review. That's of course a convincing reason that there must have been black travelers in backwater Bohemia and I can't understand how Vavra doesn't accept that.

Holy shit so Eurogamer went full-retard. It's beyond what even Polygon or Kotaku write. This fools directly accuses not just Vavra, but the entire game of bigotry and sexism:

All of which means that a shadow lingers over Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Instead of challenging the Dark Age it reinterprets 615 years later, the game seems to delight in it. Instead of seeing notes in the margin of a history book, we get what feels like a glossy pamphlet advertising an escape into an oddly romanticised past.

Fucking Brits are becoming more and more muricanized.

It's getting a lot of shit in the comments. Looks like not even Eurogamer readers have patience for this kind of overt SJW crap.

>acquired a perk called Burgher which gives bonus stats in civilised areas
>went to skalitz which was razed months ago so there's no inhabitants left
>"YOU ACTIVATED THE PERK BURGHER"
I don't think this is intended.

What's bit problematic is a quest compass and other funny stuff. Basically lack of design. Could they try to avoid unnecessary quest compass? Sure. Did they? Well, they are not three developers working on free in theirs spare time/during unemployed period, and they didn't even allowed to fine tune quest compass in options.

I wonder how much of that is the dev team choosing priorities, would they spend time to work on altering the UI for the customization, or working on the stuff they deemed more important and leaving optional stuff for later patches and/or modders, who will make UI mods either way.

A commercial company should never release game with words "moders would fix it". They might, but why would happen to developer's name?

When they disabled save on exit (because of bugs) without any compensation, moders fixed it, they enabled unlimited saves and everything was golden. But quest compass/design is integral part of how the game was designed, perhaps moders would find a way how to disable unwanted quest markers, but properly made mod that would do things correctly would be called total overhaul. And even if there is a modder that wants to do that, that would take time.

True, but the reality is that modders will always make their own UI mods, and you can disable the markers, just turn off quest tracking from the quest screen, it's not that hard to figure out ffs. Click on quest to turn on the quest tracking, click second time to turn it off.

The game is fully playable and completeable even in its current state. I finished the main storyline's quest 2-3 days ago having experienced only a single random crash-to-desktop due to a memory leak or something. It's not without its bugs and glitches (and hilarious AI moments), and a few secondary quests are indeed bugged, but nothing that's completely game-breaking (except for one quest that is planned to be fixed with the upcoming patch).

If you're not a kickstarter backer and feel dread at the prospect of having to reload an earlier save even once, you'd better wait a couple of months until a few more patches are out the door. But the game is definitely not as broken as people make it out to be.

This a heavy case of YMMV. I have personally experienced infinite loading screen on one of the main quests. It took me numerous reloads and retries to be able to advance the main quest of the game, and I was only able to do it when I reloaded way before and purposely engaged in different, more time consuming activities in-game. Reading game forums I saw similar threads for this, and other quests. Not to mention the minor glitches and bugs, that you can easily work around.

One might get lucky or have a software/hardware configuration that works with the game and will have a relatively bug-free experience. Or quite the opposite, I'm afraid.
Unless one have a lot of patience for the game idiosyncrasies and can forgive much, I'd recommend waiting.

>game is unplayable for up to a YEAR after release
the absolute STATE of popamolers
It's unplayable? Wow, I must have missed that information, because I've been playing it since the 14th.

Edit: There are individual retards such as Dragonul, who can't play it but that's not a common problem.

I present you, Kingdome Come Delivery with a touch of Oblivion, it's like they had an inbreed spawn but without any positives, just all the defects  .

But Dragonul09, you were cheating with a bow, melee is a much more complex and mechanical intensive combat system, you are just exploiting this beautiful piece of programming waonderlust. Just look at that proactive AI, the very definition of Hardcore:lol:, but you can complete fetch quests in multiple ways:lol:

The 4th or so wayfarer I encountered was a knight who had 10k equipment on himself, which I got after crouching in his face and pressing F.
God will punish you for such dishonesty to a noble knight :argh:
Well...I accepted his challenge for a wager and during the fight I hit his head and... "perk activated: head cracker".

I took that as a sign that God wanted me to loot all his stuff.

please help a stupid fellow: how? how do you so precisely and often hit specific enemy parts? my enemies parry and dodge almost everything in 1 vs 1, more often than not my fights are a flurry of reciprocal consecutive perfect parries. is it becausre of the sword? because i noticed that with maces i can drain enemy stamina much faster until their defense breaks, even if i've seen a video of a guy who kept comboing bernard with a longsword, i can't even dream of doing such thing. am i missing something?
Make enemy block low, feint low strike but actually do up strike or just use combos which target head.
If you have 20 str and 20 mace you can stun them by hitting their guard a few times and get a free hit on any bodypart you want.
sounds good, doesn't work. if i try to feint it's either my blows are blocked as usual or i'm hit before i can connect.

My experience is that there are two types of enemy, "thrash" against which you can spam whatever and you'll kill them sooner or later, and "bosses".
The "bosses" actually parry/masterstroke your stuff and can combo you down - against them it's best to only go for combos yourself (the ones starting with a stab gave me the best results) and when they get staggered use stab afterwards. They will parry stuff so you have to parry yourself to keep the flow going. When they masterstroke you will take damage but if your stamina is high it will be negligible.
Any decent estimate for when the game will be in a good playable state? Weeks? Couple of months? In a year?

I'm near the end of the MQ and had no real issues. Had to reload twice (instant autosave reload when Hans fucked up, so no time lost), had one CTD but lost maybe 5 min. Performance is great if you don't go above High.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I, too, have had no performance issues.

Riddle me this: what are the disadvantages of using a longsword with a shield? I assume it does less damage—it seems to—and the strikes are slower, but do we have any numbers? Would really love a way to quantify the difference. Purely a theoretical question, because shields are for pussies without a full plate harness.

when Kingdom Come does succeed, it's peerless. The Elder Scrolls and The Witcher can feel flimsy next to the sophisticated systems and heft of history on show here.

But there's also a big problem. There are no people of colour in the game beyond people from the Cuman tribe, a Turkic people from the Eurasian Steppe. The question is, should there be? The game's makers say they've done years of research and found no conclusive proof there should be, but a historian I spoke to, who specialises in the area, disagrees.

"We know of African kings in Constantinople on pilgrimage to Spain; we know of black Moors in Spain; we know of extensive travel of Jews from the courts of Cordoba and Damascus; we also know of black people in large cities in Germany," the historian, Sean Miller, tells me. Czech cities Olomouc and Prague were on the famous Silk Road which facilitated the trade of goods all over the world. If you plot a line between them, it runs directly through the area recreated in Kingdom Come. "You just can't know nobody got sick and stayed a longer time," he says. "What if a group of black Africans came through and stayed at an inn and someone got pregnant? Even one night is enough for a pregnancy."

Eurogamer has reach a new level of "WTF am i reading"

It's probably for the better. Looks like SJWs ganging up on something is the best kind of advertisement nowadays.

Apparently, with longsword equipped, you are faster without a shield, and I could perform combos more often. Henry will hold longsword with two hands now, instead of one.
But I have no numbers to back it up, only my gut feeling, and it also in part comes from the fact, that in the meantime I got a better hold of combat.

And regarding combos - I invested in those short, 3 step, chains, preferably with stabs, as they are quicker. If you start the first slash with a feint, you have a high chance of performing the combo and not getting interrupted in the process.
But it's always good to practice on Cpt. Bernard.

Whoever is having boring combat, consisting mainly of circling around and waiting for the opportunity to master strike everyone, should consider investing in "Clinch Master". It changed the dynamic of the combat for me, as now I close in for the clinch, most likely win it, and follow with a normal LMB bashing instead of this gay waiting and circling. Fun, just try it.

Quite telling of the times we live in, that an attempt at historical accuracy like KC-D gets massacred for not bending to ideology, while an indentitarian power fantasy like Black Panther is treated like historical reality.

Fair is foul and fouls is fair etc. etc.

True, that happened.

I read about it once on the internet.
