I really can't wait to see their approach for the quest design and seemingly non-linear approach to solving them.

For more Witcher 3 comparisons - the famous (but nobody called it profound) C&C was mostly cosmetic and small stuff related*, and the early game had many fake choices with different branches of dialogues railroading the player to the same outcome.

*With some notable exceptions, that other game could really take inspirations from.
For example, in the conversation with Keira you could anger her and trigger a fight; or how in W2 you could die and finish the game early if you insulted your interrogator (Roche).

Shitcher 3 is just an adventure game disguised to be something more

I don't need a new SSD. I need a new graphic card.

I mean what is the price for the 2080? it will probably be over 1000 Euro

Where are you getting that? My understanding is that the prices will be normal at lunch and spike up suddenly as soon as stocks run out.

Well, whatever, good luck bro. Ca 1 year ago I told people to buy a 1070 when it was briefly under 400 euro, and instead they were whining about SSD prices and the RX 580

And yeah, well if you can get the 2080 for let say 700 Euro or so just pull the trigger and enjoy your games in HD while the low tier schmucks will whine for the next 2 years straight. That's a bit more expansive than it needs to, but when you remember 1990s prices not even that crazy.

I have a 960 but there’s no point in me buying a new GPU because my CPU is an ancient Core 2 Quad from 2009.

KCD won’t be the game that makes me get a new computer.

1070? Do you have a 4K monitor? Because why the fuck would anyone need those high-end cards for a basic bitch FHD monitor?

I bought RX 480 a year ago and on my FHD I can play everything at 60+ FPS, mostly on the highest details.

Why on earth would Nvidia do that? If I were a shareholder, I would sue them for selling the new ones at what's effectively a below market price, and I would most likely win that lawsuit b/c they have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders. I'd love to be wrong on this, but what public company is that customer friendly? If they know the new cards will sell out, and they do, then they'll mark them up from the get-go.

It's not nvidia that's setting the high prices. It is retailers. If you go to their site now you can still see their foundation cards being sold at regular prices, except you can't buy any because they have none in stock. Then after that a bunch of links to retailers with their gouging prices.

btw German voiceovers. And as could be expected, they are shit ..

Everyone sounds like a faggot, even the blacksmith.

I would have asked Milan Fras to dub the blacksmith, the grammatical errors would have emphasized the cultural collusion in Bohemia.

I should have waited for reviews, but hell, I want to support the developers even if the game isn't a gem in the end. So I bought it.

I want to play the game. Is it so hard to release it like 18 hours earlier?
Can one of the developers reading this post talk about this issue with the management?

They'll schedule a meeting about it on Friday and see how soon they can release it.

The steamcharts reset every Tuesday or so, all the games release then to take advantage of it iirc.

What games would this be? Seriously, how many games per year are being published that utilize the highest of high end GPU? I couldn't name more than two games which have utilized my 4 and a half years old GTX780 since I bought it in 2013. I simply don't play many, if any, shitty games with flashy graphics.

I was thinking of the 2060. There's like, an handful of gaymes i'd like to be able to play at max. Elex, Twitcher 3 (maybe, couldn't get past the intro with the wombyn, the writing was way too Hollywood for my tastes. To this day that's as far as i've gotten with this game), Kingdom Come, and Assetto Corsa. There may be more but that's all i can come up with now. Star Citizen would have been a consideration if it wasn't so obviously vaporware. There's some other games that i remember were giving me trouble but i forgot what the fuck they were. Arma 3 maybe. Dark Soul 3 too, but i remember that one being fluid enough.
